  • Patent number: 6694737
Abstract: A compensation system for a vehicle has a main reservoir, a vapor collector, an expansion tube, a working liquid supplying reservoir and an oil tank. The main reservoir is connected with the vapor collector via a heat absorbing pipe. The expansion tube is connected to the vapor collector. Two turbines are rotatably received in the expansion tube and are connected to a generator. The supplying reservoir is connected to the expansion tube. The oil tank encloses the expansion tube and absorbs the heat of the waste gas dissipated from the engine. Accordingly, the turbines will be actuated to rotate by means of expansion of volume of the working liquid sprayed into the expansion tube to actuate the generator to operate. The waste heat dissipated from the engine of the vehicle can be efficiently reused.

  • Patent number: 5889879
Abstract: An object recognizer includes a computer system, a spatial division sensing device including a first sensor, a second sensor, and a first polarizer. An object feature generator is attached to an object and includes a plurality of object feature correspondents, and a plurality of second polarizers. By such an arrangement, the first sensor is able to detect a first signal from the second polarizers and the object feature correspondents to form a first polarized image. The second sensor co-operating with the first polarizer is able to detect a second signal from the second polarizers and the object feature correspondents to form a second polarized image. The computer system is able to execute an operation between the first image and the second image to obtain a third image, thereby determining the positions of the second polarizers on the third image so as to locate the object.

  • Patent number: 5592159
Abstract: A control system includes at least one guiding device including a long range guiding water jet generator having a plurality of first nozzles each projecting a jet of water upwardly and a first illumination apparatus projecting a plurality of beams of light upwardly each in concert with the jet of water projected from each of the first nozzles so as to guide the flight vehicle along a predetermined direction when the flight vehicle is located at a longer distance relative to the guiding device and a short range guiding water jet generator having a plurality of second nozzles each projecting a jet of water upwardly and a second illumination apparatus projecting a plurality of beams of light upwardly each in concert with the jet of water projected from each of the second nozzles so as to guide the flight vehicle along the predetermined direction when the flight vehicle is located at a shorter distance relative to the guiding device.

  • Patent number: 5527000
Abstract: A duplex complementary carrier includes a flight vehicle floating above the ground, a control system moving on the ground for controlling movement of the flight vehicle, and a connecting system connecting between the control system and the flight vehicle. When the control system is moving on the ground, the flight vehicle above the ground is able to follow movement of the control system due to the connection provided by the connecting system such that the pressure of the control system on the ground and the frictional force of the ground on the control system are reduced by the buoyancy of the flight vehicle. The flight vehicle is able to move above the ground stably by the directing and guiding effects of the control system.

  • Patent number: 5470033
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a carrier which is used to carry a flight vehicle, the method including (a) providing a carrier and a control system mounted on a lower side thereof; (b) sending a signal to a flight vehicle to decrease a velocity thereof for landing; (c) sensing a flight direction of the flight vehicle and instantaneous velocities thereof; and (d) accelerating the carrier to catch up with the flight vehicle at a location therebeneath and adjusting the velocity of the carrier to match with that of the flight vehicle such that the flight vehicle is able to smoothly land so as to be supported on a top surface of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5409182
Abstract: A flight vehicle includes a base frame in which an accumulating tank is mounted for receiving air. An air entrance device is mounted on the first end of the base frame for introducing air to enter into the accumulating tank. A power supply device is mounted in the base frame for pressurizing air in the accumulating tank. A nozzle device is mounted on an upperside of a first end of the base frame and communicates with the accumulating tank for injecting the pressurized air therefrom along a longitudinal direction of the base frame. A suction device is adjustably mounted on an upperside of a second end of the base frame and is restricted to be disposed between a first position where air injected from the nozzle device is introduced into the suction device and a second position where the suction device stops operating. An elevator device and a rudder device are respectively mounted on an upperside of the second end of the base frame. A wheel assembly is mounted on an underside of the base frame.
