Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring an Android platform-based application. The apparatus for monitoring an Android platform-based application includes a code list acquisition unit for acquiring a code list of multiple pieces of application code corresponding to applications using an Android-based application package file, a target setting unit for setting at least one piece of target code to be monitored among the multiple pieces of application code, based on the code list, an execution information collection unit for collecting at least one piece of code execution information corresponding to the at least one piece of target code from an Android terminal, and a monitoring information provision unit for generating and providing application monitoring information required in order to perform at least one of detection of malicious code execution and analysis of application behavior, based on the at least one piece of code execution information.
