Abstract: A tool for use in grooming an animal. The tool includes a handle with a gripping portion that is pivotable and lockable into a plurality of fixed angular positions relative to a shedding blade that is configured as a loop and is attached to a distal end of the handle. In one variation, the gripping portion may be pivoted to a variety of positions, including to a position within the loop to facilitate transport and storage. The ability to adjust the angular position of the gripping portion may also facilitate the grooming of an animal by the groomer.
