  • Patent number: 8290452
Abstract: A Radio Frequency (RF) transmitter and a signal amplification method therefor are provided, in which a signal source generates a signal of a predetermined Intermediate Frequency (IF) band, a local oscillator generates a signal of a predetermined high frequency band as a carrier signal, a power amplifier amplifies the signal received from the local oscillator to a predetermined transmission level, and a parametric mixer module receives the signals from the signal source and the power amplifier and outputs the received signals as a radio signal for transmission. The signal output from the parametric mixer module is transmitted as the radio signal without additional amplification.

  • Publication number: 20080119231
Abstract: A switchable divider and combiner assembly (SDCA) (10) that includes a base station (12) that encloses a transceiver circuit (14), a transmitting section (16), a receiving section (30) and a control circuit (40). The sections (16,30) each include a switchable divider circuit (18) and a swithable combiner circuit (24). The transceiver circuit (14) interfaces with a remote data processing/receiving network (50) and with the transmitting and receiving sections (16,30). The sections (16,30) also communicate with a remote user (52) via antennae (20,36). The SDCA (10) functions by transmitting and receiving multiple input and output signals that are alternately and electronically controlled and switched by the control circuit (40).

  • Publication number: 20020043473
Abstract: A hygienic beverage can (10) that includes a lower concave surface (62), sides (64) and an upper surface (66) having a can opening seal (68) covered by a pivoting, finger pull-tab (70). The can (10) is designed to incorporate a sanitary towelette (12) and a sanitary can cover (40). The towelette (12) can be used by itself or in combination with the can cover (40). The towelette (12) is folded and hermetically sealed within a towelette enclosure (14) that is dimensioned to removably attached within the lower concave surface (62) of the can (10). The sanitary can cover (40) includes an upper section (42), which covers the entire upper surface (66) of the can (10), and an integral flange (40) that frictionally fits around the diameter of the can (10). The flange (40) includes a perforated tear-strip (46) that, when pulled and removed, the upper section (42) of the cover (40) can be separated from the flange (44) to expose the can's opening seal (68) and the pull-tab (70).
