  • Publication number: 20220236905
Abstract: A method, system and product including adapting a value of a delay parameter that is utilized in an operation of a memory-cell array, wherein the delay parameter influences a ratio between an operation portion of a clock cycle and a pre-charge portion of the clock cycle, wherein writing or reading to the memory-cell array is enabled during the operation portion of the clock cycle and is disabled during the pre-charge portion of the clock cycle, wherein said adapting comprises: initializing the delay parameter with an initial value; writing a first test data into the memory-cell array; attempting to read from the memory-cell array a second test data; comparing the first test data with the second test data; and selecting a target value for the delay parameter based on said comparing.

  • Publication number: 20050245903
Abstract: A surgical aspiration system and the method of using the same for aspirating fluid from a surgical site at a desired aspiration rate. The system includes an interface component for providing an interface with the surgical site; a variable rate pump operably associated with the interface component for controllably generating a vacuum at the surgical site to cause a flow of fluids from the surgical site; a collector chamber interconnected with the interface component and with the pump for collecting liquids flowing from the surgical site; and a control system operably associated with the pump for controlling the pumping rate thereof in a manner to maintain the desired aspiration rate at the surgical site, the control system including a sensor for sensing a change in vacuum at the interface component due to liquid entering the interface component and for controlling the pumping rate of the pump in response thereto.

  • Publication number: 20050015077
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the simultaneous removal of superficial epidermal skin cells and unwanted hair using strategically structured laser pulses. The apparatus of the invention includes an optical crystal which, when pumped, will produce uniquely structured pulses of laser light. More particularly, each produced pulse has a first portion of a first duration and a first wavelength and a second portion of a second duration and a second wavelength. In accordance with the method of the invention the first portion of the purse is directed toward a selected target area for a first period of time and in a manner to raise the temperature of the lower portion of the human tissue located within the target area sufficiently to elicit a heating response that will accomplish hair reduction.

  • Patent number: 6254619
Abstract: A microkeratome for use with a handpiece and a microkeratome blade, the microkeratome having a positioning assembly and a head portion with a base portion and an insert portion. The positioning assembly has a platform with a corneal opening and a suction ring for application to the surface of the patient's eyeball. The positioned assembly has two spaced apart guide walls that are high enough to prevent a patient's eyelids from passing over the upper surface of the positioning assembly. The base portion has a lower planar face with a base slot extending therethrough through which the microkeratome blade will extend, and opposing sides with skates to slidably engage with inner sliding surfaces of guide walls. The insert portion lockably fits into the base portion. Stops are present to control the amount of uncut corneal flap.
