    Abstract: A system and method for managing requests for integrating a handheld customer interface with a point of sale (POS) system are disclosed. In one aspect, an integrated customer interface module is configured to communicate with a wireless mobile computing device of a customer and a POS system associated with a restaurant chain. The integrated customer interface module is configured to receive a request from the customer to check in to one of the chain's restaurants, automatically generate an order in the POS system, receive information regarding the customer from the remote database, and send at least a portion of the information regarding the customer to the POS system so as to be used as identification in the ordering and purchasing at the restaurant.
