    Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for performing radiometric calibration of mosaicking of images. The system includes a calibration reference positioned about an area to be imaged. A sensor is disposed on an aerial vehicle in flight over the area to be imaged. A processor is in communication with the sensor. A plurality of images are obtained by the sensor and are radiometrically calibrated and mosaicked by the processor regardless of whether a calibration reference is visible in an individual image of the plurality of images.
