  • Publication number: 20200006334
Abstract: A method includes forming a first semiconductor fin and a second semiconductor fin in a substrate, the first semiconductor fin adjacent the second semiconductor fin, forming a dummy gate structure extending over the first semiconductor fin and the second semiconductor fin, depositing a first dielectric material surrounding the dummy gate structure, replacing the dummy gate structure with a first metal gate structure, performing an etching process on the first metal gate structure and on the first dielectric material to form a first recess in the first metal gate structure and a second recess in the first dielectric material, wherein the first recess extends into the substrate, and wherein the second recess is disposed between the first semiconductor fin and the second semiconductor fin, and depositing a second dielectric material within the first recess.

  • Patent number: 10436580
Abstract: A surface measurement system is configured to measure a sample with a low reflectivity surface. The surface measurement system includes a condensation device and a measurement device. The condensation device is configured to form a liquid layer on the surface of the sample. The condensation device includes a chamber, a temperature controlling gas source, and a humidification gas source. The chamber is configured to accommodate the sample. The temperature controlling gas source is connected to the chamber to provide temperature controlling gases to the chamber, so as to control the temperature of the sample. The humidification gas source is connected to the chamber to provide water vapor to the chamber, so as to form the liquid layer on the surface of the sample. The measurement device includes a plate, a light source, and an image capturing device.

  • Publication number: 20190139822
Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device, a first interlayer dielectric layer is formed over a substrate. First recesses are formed in the first interlayer dielectric layer. First metal wirings are formed in the first recesses. A first etch-resistance layer is formed in a surface of the first interlayer dielectric layer between the first metal wirings but not on upper surfaces of the first metal wirings. A first insulating layer is formed on the first etch-resistance layer and the upper surfaces of the first metal wirings.

  • Patent number: 8855903
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing incentives for the public to travel during time windows and routes that help alleviate traffic congestion. The systems described herein include at least two components: a computer server software system that includes various algorithms and database sub-systems; and a mobile device application. Generally, a user may enter an origin, destination, and preferred time of travel for an intended trip into the mobile device application, which transmits the information to a remote server. The server computes a route for the trip and provides the user with available incentives for traveling the route at one or more departure time windows. The user's mobile device transmits GPS data to the server, which allows the server to verify whether the user has traveled the route during the specified time window. If so, the server then provides the incentive to the user via the user's mobile device or through email.
