  • Publication number: 20100253227
Abstract: A light fixture includes a CCFL and a driving circuit. The driving circuit includes a first voltage converter and a high-voltage inverter. The first voltage converter provides a DC voltage signal according to a power signal. The high-voltage inverter comprises a second voltage converter and a first transformer. The second voltage converter converts the DC voltage signal into an AC voltage signal. The first transformer is corresponding to the first CCFL and includes a first primary winding circuit and a first secondary winding circuit. The first primary winding circuit has a first input voltage signal in response to the AC voltage signal. The first secondary winding circuit is coupled with the first input voltage signal to generate a first output voltage signal for driving the first CCFL. The first primary and secondary winding circuits belong to a primary-side circuit and receive the same ground voltage signal.

  • Patent number: 7402959
Abstract: A phase sampling protection device substantially includes a phase sampling circuit coupled between a tube circuit and a protection circuit. The phase sampling circuit captures a voltage signal and a current phase signal of the tube circuit for comparison, using phase comparing technique to detect an anomaly of the tube, if the tube doesn't function normally, then the phase sampling circuit driving the protection circuit to shut down the power supply of the tube to keep a transformer from burning down and other safety issues from happening.

  • Patent number: 6703796
Abstract: This invention relates to a power supply that integrates a rectifier/filter's circuitry and a converter's circuitry with an inverter to reduce space occupied and increase power efficiency. The power supply includes: a rectifier/filter, a DC-DC converter and a DC-AC inverter. The rectifier/filter, connected to an alternating current (AC) input terminal, converts the input AC into a direct current (DC). The DC-DC converter and the DC-AC inverter are parallel to each other with one end concurrently connected to the rectifier/filter's output and the other end respectively outputting the desired powers. As such, DC-DC converter reduces the converted DC voltage to lower DC voltages to power all circuits except for the lamp and DC-AC inverter converts the converted DC voltage into higher AC voltage output to drive the lamp.
