    Abstract: A method of orthopedic treatment includes steps of: by using a computer aided design (CAD) tool based on profile data that is related to a to-be-treated part of a bone of a patient, obtaining a model of a preliminary instrument that substantially fits the to-be-treated part; by using the CAD tool, obtaining a model of a patient specific instrument (PSI) based on the model of the preliminary instrument; producing the PSI based on the model of the PSI, the PSI being adjustable; performing medical operation on the to-be-treated part, and then attaching the PSI to the to-be-treated part; after attaching the PSI to the to-be-treated part, adjusting the PSI such that the PSI is adapted to real conditions of the to-be-treated part.

    Abstract: A method for treating hearing loss in a subject in need thereof is provided. The method includes providing a combination of transcription factors to induce generation of a hair cell-like cell, thereby treating the hearing loss in the subject. The generated hair cell-like cells exhibit characteristic of mature functional cells that is useful in cell replacement therapy for autologous transplantation.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a stent for supporting a sidewall of a lumen which contains a first fluid. The stent comprises a stent body, a film and a photosensitizing layer. The stent body is disposed inside the lumen. The film is adapted to be penetrated by a light and covers the stent body. The photosensitizing layer is disposed on an outer surface of the film for receiving the light to generate a first object, and the film separates the photosensitizing layer and the first fluid. The film and the photosensitizing layer of the present invention can greatly reduce the needed dosage of the photosensitizer while maintaining the effective concentration of the photosensitizer around tumor cells.
