  • Publication number: 20260122816
Abstract: An information handling system motherboard add-in card slot accepts an add-in card that cooperates to process information, such as graphics processing card that generates pixel values for presentation at a display. An add-in card release couples to the motherboard near the add-in card slot with a lifting member aligned to apply a lifting force to remove the add-in card in response to a press by an actuator member displaced for better end user interactions. In one example embodiment, the lifting member has first and second arms on opposing sides of the add-in card slot rotationally coupled to a base. In an alternative embodiment, the lifting member has a pulley engaged with a wire that applies a lifting force when a push button actuator member is pressed.

  • Patent number: 8256906
Abstract: A sliding cover structure and an electronic apparatus are disclosed. The sliding cover structure is used for covering a lens, and includes a base, a first cover, a second cover and a swing part. The first cover slides forwards and backwards on the base, and slides between an opening position that does not cover the lens and a closing position that covers the lens. The second cover moves upwards and downwards on the base. The swing part is pivoted with the base and has a first contact end and a second contact end. The pivoting position of the swing part and the base is located between the first contact end and the second contact end so that the swing part can perform a seesaw operation. The first contact end is located below the second cover so that the first contact end drives the second cover to move upwards.

  • Patent number: 8014844
Abstract: An electromagnetic sliding mechanism and an electronic device are provided. The sliding mechanism includes a fixing base, a sliding piece, and an elastic piece. The fixing base and the sliding piece are respectively provided with an electromagnetic element and the two electromagnetic elements correspond to each other. The sliding piece can slide between a first position and a second position with respect to the fixing base. One end of the elastic piece is pivotally connected to the fixing base, and the other end thereof is pivotally connected to the sliding piece to slide synchronously therewith. Via a repulsive magnetic force generated by electro-magnetizing the two electromagnetic elements, the sliding piece slides automatically from the first position to the second position. When the electromagnetic sliding mechanism is applied to the electronic device, two opposite casings of the electronic device can slide with respect to each other.

  • Publication number: 20100124953
Abstract: An electronic device with a sliding and rotating cover is provided. The electronic device comprises a fixed member, a rotating member pivoted with the fixed member, an elastic member disposed between the rotating member and the fixed member, a sliding member installed at the rotating member and may slide relatively to the rotating member, a casing connected with the fixed member, and a cover connected with the sliding member. Via this arrangement, the cover slides with the sliding member. The sliding member can rotate with the rotating member by the elastic member. Thus, the cover can rotate relatively to the casing.
