  • Patent number: 11942750
Abstract: A laser inspection system is provided. A laser source emits a laser with a first spectrum and the laser is transmitted by a first optical fiber. A gain optical fiber doped with special ions is connected to the first optical fiber, and a light detector is provided around the gain optical fiber. When the laser with the first spectrum passes through the gain optical fiber, the gain optical fiber absorbs part of the energy level of the laser with the first spectrum, so that the laser with the first spectrum is converted to generate light with a second spectrum based on the frequency conversion phenomenon. The light detector detects the intensity of the light with the second spectrum, so that the power of the laser source can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20080020914
Abstract: A waist exerciser is able to bring a user to passively twist the waist to and fro, so as to easily strengthen the user's waist. The waist exerciser includes a carrier for a user to sit thereon. The carrier has a rotating center offset from a centerline of a power output shaft of a driving device, so that the carrier is able to rotate about the power output shaft in a circular motion and accordingly brings the user's hips to move in circular motion and thereby twist the user's waist. The waist exerciser also includes a mechanism for inclining the carrier for the user to feel a different twisting effect on the inclined and rotating carrier, and a mechanism for adjusting the carrier to a height most suitable for a user to sit thereon comfortably.

  • Publication number: 20050219848
Abstract: A combined frame for housing at least a lamp with one end connected to a power cord is provided. The combined frame comprises a lower frame and an upper frame. The lamp is positioned between the upper frame and the lower frame. The lower frame has an angled cable groove that encloses the power cord from the lamp. One end of the power cord is exposed outside the lower frame. The upper frame is positioned over the lower frame. Through the angled cable groove, the power cord is prevented from sliding in the axial direction of the lamp by any unintended external force and hence pulling power cable away from the lamp. This invention also provides a back light module comprising a light-guiding plate and the aforementioned lamp and combined frame.

  • Patent number: 6863414
Abstract: A front light module includes a light guide plate having opposite ends and a front surface and an opposite back surface connected to each other by the ends. The front surface forms sets of raised ridges, each raised ridge having opposite inclined faces. The front surface also forms a recessed trough between adjacent sets of ridges. Each trough has opposite inclined faces. A light source is mounted to each end of the light guide plate for projecting a light into the light guide plate. A reflector is arranged adjacent to and spaced from the back surface of the light guide plate for accommodating a display board between the reflector and the light guide plate. The light from the light source is incident onto the inclined faces of the troughs and reflected thereby toward the reflector. The troughs have different depths whereby the inclined faces thereof are of different surface areas for reflecting different amount of light in order to provide a uniform brightness over the whole module.

  • Patent number: 6808281
Abstract: A backlight module includes a light guide plate having opposite ends. The light guide plate has a light emitting surface and an opposite back surface connected to each other by the ends. The back surface has a concave contour whereby thickness of the light guide plate is gradually reduced from each end toward a center of the light guide plate. A light source includes a reflector mounted to each end of the light guide plate and a plurality of light tubes fixed inside the reflector and between the reflector and the end of the light guide plate. The light tubes are lined up in a direction inclined with respect to a normal direction of the light emitting surface. The reflector includes curved portions corresponding to the light tubes for reflecting light from the light tubes toward the end of the light guide plate. A reflective layer is formed on the back surface.

  • Publication number: 20040170009
Abstract: A back light module comprising a light-guiding plate, a lamp, a lower frame and an upper frame is provided. The light-guiding plate has a light-emitting surface. The lamp is positioned on one side of the light-guiding plate. Light from the lamp travels towards the light-guiding plate and emerges from the light-emitting surface of the light-guiding plate. The lower frame supports the light-guiding plate and the lamp and has a plurality of heat-dissipating slots formed on the sidewall close to the lamp. The upper frame covers the lower frame and has a window for exposing the light-emitting surface of the light-guiding plate. Through the heat-dissipating slots on the sidewalls of the lower frame, excess heat produced by the lamp due to a long continuous operation is carried away.

  • Publication number: 20040109308
Abstract: A backlight module includes an illuminating unit or a light source positioned opposite to and confronting a substrate with an optic film comprised of a number of layers positioned between the illuminating unit and the substrate. A device for fixing the layers of the optic film together during a test process includes a clip having pawls that are spring biased to tightly engage opposite sides of the film thereby fixing the layers together. Alternatively, a retention member is positioned on the optic film opposite to the substrate. A pin extends between the retention member and the substrate and through aligned openings defined in the layers to fix the layers together. The pin may be integrally formed with the retention member or the pin extends from the substrate. Secondary pins extend from the substrate and engage corresponding counterpart elements formed on the retention member to mount the retention member to the substrate.
