  • Patent number: 11587333
Abstract: A system includes a plurality of sensors arranged in a vehicle to monitor an item in a storage area of a vehicle. The system comprises a data processing module configured to process data from the sensors, determine whether the item in the storage area of the vehicle is likely to move within the storage area or is likely to fall from the vehicle during travel, and generate a first indication that the item is likely to move within the storage area or is likely to fall from the vehicle during travel. The data processing module is configured to determine whether the item has moved within the storage area or has fallen from the vehicle during travel and generate a second indication that the item has moved within the storage area or has fallen from the vehicle during travel.

  • Publication number: 20190300017
Abstract: A method of controlling a vehicle includes transmitting real time geographically tagged vehicle data from a transmitting vehicle to a database of a computing device. A caution area is identified based on the geographically tagged vehicle data from the at least one transmitting vehicle. A geographic boundary is defined surrounding the caution area. When the location of a receiving vehicle enters into the geographic boundary, a notification signal in the receiving vehicle is generated to alert an operator of the receiving vehicle to the caution area.

  • Patent number: 10173590
Abstract: Examples of techniques for overlaying on an in-vehicle display road objects associated with potential hazards are disclosed. In one example implementation, a method may include: responsive to detecting a presence of a detected vehicle in proximity to the local vehicle, determining, by a processing device, a position of the detected vehicle, a speed of the detected vehicle, and a time to the local vehicle of the detected vehicle; determining, by the processing device, whether the detected vehicle, in proximity to the local vehicle, represents a potential hazard to the local vehicle based on the position of the detected vehicle, the speed of the detected vehicle, and a time to the local vehicle of the detected vehicle; and responsive to determining that the detected vehicle, in proximity to the local vehicle, represents a potential hazard to the local vehicle, overlaying, by the processing device, a warning indicium on the in-vehicle display.

  • Publication number: 20180244288
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for responding to drowsiness of a driver. The method and system comprise detecting by a module the drowsiness of the driver based on a detected level exceeding a threshold associated with at least one of a set of conditions of the driver which indicate the drowsiness of the driver. The conditions of driver drowsiness include driver performance, vigilance, judgment and alertness. A response to the conditions which have been detected is provided by assists to the driver to at least facilitate reducing the detected level below the threshold associated with the conditions and any subsequent drowsiness of the driver.

  • Publication number: 20180246641
Abstract: Examples of techniques for triggering control of a zone of a vehicle using a zone image overlay on an in-vehicle display are disclosed. In one example implementation, a method may include: displaying a primary image on the in-vehicle display; overlaying a zone image as the zone image overlay onto the primary image on the in-vehicle display, wherein the zone image overlay is associated with the zone of the vehicle; receiving a selection of the zone image overlay; responsive to receiving the selected zone image overlay, displaying a control interface on the in-vehicle display, wherein the control interface comprises a selectable option for controlling an aspect of the zone; and responsive to receiving a selection of the selectable option for controlling the aspect of the zone, adjusting the aspect of the zone based on the selection.
