    Abstract: A memory architecture and a configuration method thereof are provided. In the memory configuration method, a data to be stored in the memory and a corresponding error correction code (ECC) are first provided. When the data is written into the memory, the ECC is stored next to the corresponding data, such that the ECC and the corresponding data can be adjoined with each other in the memory. As a result, when the data is read from the memory, the data and the corresponding ECC can be obtained in turn, so as to achieve the purpose of checking the correctness of the data with a smaller buffer, and the hardware cost of the buffer can also be reduced.
