The complexes provided herein include a DNA editing agent bound to a phosphorothioate nucleic acid through a chemical linker. The chemical linker (e.g., disulfide linker) may be a linker that dissociates once the complex has entered the inside of the cell, thereby releasing the DNA editing agent and allowing the DNA editing agent to access and edit a cellular target sequence.
