  • Publication number: 20210181508
Abstract: A near-eye display apparatus including at least one display unit having a display element and an optical system is provided. The display element provides a light beam. The light beam includes a first light beam and a second light beam having different image information and different polarization states. The optical system includes a first semi-reflective element, a first polarization conversion element, and a polarization reflector, arranged in sequence along an optical axis. The polarization reflector allows a light beam having a first polarization state to pass and reflects a light beam having a second polarization state. The light path and the image distance of the second light beam are greater than the light path and the image distance of the first light beam, and the first light beam and the second light beam are emitted by at least one display unit to form a combined light beam.

  • Publication number: 20200218085
Abstract: The disclosure provides an augmented reality (AR) device, a notebook, and smart glasses. The AR device includes a laser source, a spatial light modulator (SLM), and a hologram optical element (HOE). The laser source provides a coherent laser ray. The SLM provides a diffraction pattern solely corresponding to the coherent laser ray. When the SLM receives the coherent laser ray, the diffraction pattern diffracts the coherent laser ray as a hologram in response to the coherent laser ray. The HOE provides a concave mirror effect merely in response to a wavelength of the coherent laser ray, wherein the HOE receives the hologram and magnifies the hologram as a stereoscopic virtual image.

  • Publication number: 20190108648
Abstract: A phase detection auto-focus-based (PDAF-based) positioning method and a system thereof are proposed, where the method is applicable to a positioning system having at least three image sensors and a processing device and includes the following steps. A target scene is detected by the first image sensor to generate first phrase detection data and thereby calculate a first object distance. The target scene is detected by the second image sensor to generate second phrase detection data and thereby calculate a second object distance. The target scene is detected by the third image sensor to generate third phrase detection data and thereby calculate a third object distance. Next, a positioning coordinate of the target point is obtained by the processing device according to the first object distance, the second object distance, and the third object distance.
