  • Publication number: 20240216106
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for assessing a dental x-ray image and predicting tooth eruption and/or exfoliation. The apparatuses may use one or more trained neural networks to assess a patient's x-rays as well as dental measurements determined from the patient's x-rays to predict approximately when a permanent tooth may erupt to replace a baby tooth. The neural networks may be trained using a data training set of x-ray images and accompanying dental measurement data.

  • Publication number: 20230190411
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses (including software) for optimizing dental treatment plans, including for optimizing the treatment plans using dental aligners. These methods and apparatuses may optimize a treatment plan by estimating a difference between a target set of tooth position and a predicted set of tooth positions using the treatment plan using a prediction network trained to use multiple translational and rotational directions for individual teeth as well as reaction forces on the individual teeth based on adjacent teeth.

  • Patent number: 10035215
Abstract: A wire fusing apparatus including a first body having a first surface, a second body having a second surface, and a heating unit is provided. The second body is pivoted to the first body to rotate relatively to the first body enabling the first and second bodies to be in an expanded or a closed state. When the first and second bodies are in the closed state, the first and second surfaces define a closed containing groove for containing two independent wires butt jointed with each other. The first surface, the second surface and the containing groove each has a heat-conducting region, and the heat-conducting regions contact each other when the first and second bodies are in the closed state. The heating unit disposed on the first or second body contacts one of the heat-conducting regions for heat-fusing a butt-jointing point of the wires to form a fused wire.

  • Publication number: 20110284302
Abstract: A bicycle frame includes a transversal tube, a front tube, a seat tube, a bottom bracket assembly and a chain stay assembly. The transversal tube has a front portion, an angle portion, a connecting portion and an extension portion. The angle portion is curved and connects the rear end of the front portion and the connecting portion so that the front portion is not parallel to the connecting portion. The extension portion is extended rearward from the connecting portion. A receiving space is defined in the connecting portion and the extension portion, and the receiving space is longitudinal. A joint position is defined between the connecting portion and the extension portion. The front tube is disposed on the front end of the front portion. The seat tube is disposed on the joint position. The bottom bracket assembly and the chain stay assembly are both disposed on the transversal tube.

  • Publication number: 20110261077
Abstract: A system and a method for providing a zoom function for visual objects displayed on a screen. The system provides a user interface showing the visual object. The system includes a detection unit and a zoom unit. The zoom function is completed by using a control object and the detection unit. The zoom unit generates a zoom-in effect on the visual object when the control object moves toward the detection unit. The zoom unit generates a zoom-out effect on the visual object when the control object moves away from the detection unit.

  • Publication number: 20090322691
Abstract: A method and system for adjusting orientations of user interfaces on a portable electronic device are provided. The method includes detecting coordinates of user contacted points of a touch panel of the portable electronic device, generating unlock signals of user inputs corresponding to the detected coordinates, detecting a value of gravity acceleration of the portable electronic device by a gravity sensor, and adjusting orientations of user interfaces of applications upon determining that the detected value of the gravity acceleration of the portable electronic device is less than about zero.
