  • Patent number: 11380823
Abstract: Provided is a backlight module including a light source, a light guide plate, and a composite color-conversion layer. The light source emits a blue light. The light guide plate is optically coupled to the light source and the blue light transmits through the light guide plate. The composite color-conversion layer is disposed on the light guide plate. The composite color-conversion layer includes at least three different populations of quantum dots. The at least three different populations of quantum dots at least include a plurality of cyan quantum dots or a plurality of yellow quantum dots.

The light guide plate is optically coupled to the light source and the light transmits through the light guide plate. The light conversion layer is disposed on the light guide plate. The light conversion layer includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is adjacent to the light source and includes a plurality of first quantum dots. The second layer is further away from the light source than the first layer and includes a plurality of second quantum dots. An emission wavelength of the plurality of first quantum dots is greater than an emission wavelength of the plurality of second quantum dots.

  • Publication number: 20130149197
Abstract: A biotechnology detection device with optical fibers comprises a first optical fiber connected to a light source, and a prism having a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is connected to the first optical fiber and coated with an anti-reflective layer to be passed through by short-wavelength light; a second optical fiber connected to the second surface of the prism. The end of the second optical fiber is to be coated with test sample blended with a fluorescent agent, wherein the fluorescent agent emits long-wavelength light after being excited by short-wavelength light. The second prism surface is coated with a high reflective layer to reflect part of the long-wavelength light. A third optical fiber is connected to the second prism surface to convey part of the long-wavelength light. A detector is connected to the third optical fiber for detecting part of the long-wavelength light.
