  • Patent number: 7245490
Abstract: A screw-free fan bracket mounting structure includes a base frame mounted inside the case of a computer and a fan bracket fastened to the base frame for holding a cooling fan, the fan bracket having a top protruding block, a retaining block and a bottom hook, the base frame having an upper coupling hole, a retaining hole and a lower coupling hole for receiving the top protruding block, retaining block and bottom hook of the fan bracket respectively. The distance between the retaining block and bottom hook of the fan bracket is slightly greater than the distance between the retaining hole and lower coupling hole of the base frame so that the fan bracket is slightly compressed to produce an amount of plastic deformation and secured firmly to the base frame with an elastic force during installation.

  • Patent number: 6898081
Abstract: A radiator structure has a circuit board, at least one conductive plate, a radiator board and at least two lock attachments, and reduces the entire radiator structure size to permit micro miniaturization designs and increase the space efficiency without affecting cooling efficiency. The radiator board has a deforming section, which undergoes resilience deformation facing the circuit board to absorb a contact pressure generated between the radiator board, the conductive plate and the microprocessor chip. Use of a spring to absorb the contact pressure is thus not required, which decreases the number of parts and manufacturing costs.

  • Publication number: 20050088818
Abstract: A backflow-preventive fan module includes a partition member separating a housing into two separated receiving chambers and two air outlets, two fan modules respectively mounted in the receiving chambers, and two backflow prevention members respectively mounted in the receiving chambers adjacent to the two air outlets. When one fan assembly failed, the corresponding backflow prevention member is forced by pressure difference to block the corresponding air outlet, and the other fan assembly functions normally to effectively dissipate heat out of the computer in which the fan module is installed.
