Abstract: An electrical connection structure is provided. The electrical connection structure includes a through hole, a first pad, a second pad and a conductive bridge. The through hole has a first end and a second end. The first pad at least partially surrounds the first end of the through hole and is electrically connected to a first circuit. The second pad is located at the second end of the through hole and is electrically connected to a second circuit. The conductive bridge is connected to the first pad and second pad through the through hole, thereby making the first and second circuits electrically connected to each other.

Abstract: An uninterruptible power apparatus is coupled between a power grid and a load. The uninterruptible power apparatus includes a bypass path, a power conversion module, and a control module. The bypass path is coupled to the power grid through a grid terminal, and coupled to the load through a load terminal. The control module turns off a first thyristor and a second thyristor by injecting a second voltage into the load terminal during a forced commutation period. The control module calculates a magnetic flux offset amount based on an error amount between the second voltage and a voltage command, and provides a compensation command in response to the magnetic flux offset amount. The control module controls the DC/AC conversion circuit to provide a third voltage to the load terminal based on the compensation command and the voltage command.

Abstract: A fixture assembly for securing a card in a computer includes a computer chassis with at least one slot opening and a window above the slot opening. A card is installed in the computer so that an external interface of the card matches up with a slot opening in the chassis, and an extension of a bracket attached to the card protrudes through the window. To secure the card in place, a clamp is attached over the window, where the clamp includes one or more outward folds to press against the extension of the bracket. The card's bracket may further extend through openings in the bottom of the chassis to improve the securing of the card.

Abstract: A fan assembly includes a fan mounted within a housing that features an inward concave arrangement for an inner face of its housing to reduce the distance between the housing and a center shaft of the fan blades. In this way, fan vibration and noise can be reduced.

Abstract: A terminal assembly for a personal computer integrates an S-video and a composite video terminal into a single socket on an electronic device. The socket includes inlets for separately carrying S-video and composite video signals. The socket can be connected to provide an S-video signal to another device using a standard S-video cable. Alternatively, the socket can be connected to provide a composite video signal using an adaptor that has two terminals: one for mating with the socket and coupling with the composite video inlets thereon, and the other for providing a standard composite video connection.

Abstract: Installation and servicing of a computer drive from outside the confines of a computer can be accomplished through use of a removable mounting structure on which one or more drives can be attached. After a drive is fixed to the structure, the assembly can be installed in a computer. Once installed, the assembly can be removed to access or replace the drive. The invention can be used to install and access drives, including floppy drives, hard disk drives, and CD-DVD drives, and a single structure may be able to accommodate drives of different sizes. The invention may be implemented in a small form factor computer or other PC.
