  • Publication number: 20070214497
Abstract: Role-based hierarchical access control system and method. A computer system having a data storage capacity and a central processing unit and at least one resource has an access control data structure defining role-based access control lists for the resource, wherein the access control list defines based on the role of a user the types of access that the user may have to the at least one resource. A hierarchy of roles having at least a first role and a second role wherein the second role inherits the permissions granted to the first role for the at least one resource. Access to the resource is determined by comparing roles defined to have access privileges to the resource and the permissions granted to such roles to the role of an entity seeking access to the resource.

  • Publication number: 20070153034
Abstract: A circuit of a multiplexing inkjet print system and a control circuit thereof for driving a plurality of jet orifices. A signal generating unit generates an enable signal according to a first clock signal and data. Then, a counter counts according to the enable signal to generate a plurality of time counting signals for N decoders, wherein N is a positive integer equal to or greater than 2. The N decoders decode the received time counting signal to generate N groups of start signals. Moreover, a shift register shifts data according to the enable signal and a second clock signal (or according to the first and the third clock signals) to generate i address signals, wherein i is a positive integer. Therefore, each of the heater circuits is driven under the control of an address signal and one of start signals of each group, thereby driving the corresponding jet orifice.

  • Publication number: 20070083511
Abstract: System(s) and/or method(s) (“tools”) are described that enable actions to be reused that are common to multiple similarity functions. The tools may do so, in one embodiment, by composing similarity functions into a single, composed function that performs actions once that are common to multiple similarity functions. This composed function may also permit data to be analyzed in one pass and/or render unnecessary a merge operation. The tools may also enable actions to be reused when a similarity function is performed multiple times. The tools may do so, in one embodiment, by retaining a result of performing an action and using that result when performing the similarity function again. The tools may also enable records to be compared using a flip-window algorithm. This algorithm may be an efficient way in which to compare records in a table to determine which of those records are similar or duplicates.

  • Patent number: 7163284
Abstract: An inkjet cartridge for dispensing a predetermined amount of reagents is provided. The inkjet cartridge comprises an inkjet print head and an array of capillary tubes. The print head is provided with a plurality of channels. The capillary tubes, filled with predetermined reagents, are disposed on the inkjet print head so as to communicate with the channels respectively and provide capillarity sufficient to prevent the reagents in the capillary tubes from leaking through the channels but not so great as to prevent the reagents in the capillary tubes from dispensing through the channels.

  • Publication number: 20060253394
Abstract: A hybrid single and aggregation sale system is disclosed. This invention provides the mechanism: aggregating the individual purchase, grouping into the buying power, promoting efficient way for selling goods. The system has two styles: explicit and implicit style. Explicit style defines the limitation of availability etc. deal start time, end time, which the implicit style doesn't define. For explicit style, despite the time of purchasing, the system counts the total sold units in each sequential aggregation period from start time to end time, applies the maximum sold units as buyer's aggregation sold number, and thus the same final aggregation price will apply to the buyers who entitles same aggregation period. For implicit style aggregates the total units depending on the individual entitled aggregation period, the different order time might results the difference on the final aggregation price. The system allows the price match for disadvantaged buyer, etc earliest buyer.

  • Patent number: 6926391
Abstract: A micro fluidic module having at least a micro fluid channel barrier comprises at least an actuator, a firing chamber, a plurality of convergent fluid outlet channel and a plurality of convergent fluid inlet channel. The actuator (e.g. a heater) boils the working fluid and generates thermal bubble and instant high pressure to eject the working fluid outside and expel the working fluid through the fluid outlet channel. Then, the working fluid refills from the fluid inlet channel. Therefore, the working fluid flows consistently through the firing chamber. The working fluid flowing through adjacent firing chambers are arranged in different or consistent directions. Therefore, the refilling speed of the working fluid is increased, and the operating frequency of the module is improved.

  • Patent number: 6866825
Abstract: A micro-dispenser for dispensing predetermined amounts of fluids under the control of a controller. The micro-dispenser comprises a base and a high-density array of tube assemblies. The base, having a plurality of holes, is electrically connected to the controller. The tube assemblies, pre-filled with predetermined fluids, are detachably disposed in the holes and separately electrically connected to the base. The tube assemblies dispense the fluids through the base under the control of the controller. The tube assemblies are replaceable.
