    Abstract: A thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate including a substrate, scan lines and data lines both disposed on the substrate, and pixel structures is provided. A plurality of pixel areas is defined by the scan lines and the data lines on the substrate. Each scan line has a driving signal input terminal and an end terminal. Each pixel area includes a first sub-pixel area and a second sub-pixel area. The pixel structures are respectively disposed in the pixel areas and driven by the scan lines and the data lines. Each pixel structure in the respective pixel area includes a first TFT corresponding to the first sub-pixel area and a second TFT corresponding to the second sub-pixel area. Besides, ratios of a channel width to a channel length of the second TFTs connected to the same scan line increase gradually from the driving signal input terminal to the end terminal.

    Abstract: A three dimensional display includes a display panel and a view-scanning layer. The display panel is used to display many display images quickly. The view-scanning layer is disposed on the display panel and receives the display images. The view-scanning layer has many light refracting modulation regions. Each of the light refracting modulation regions includes a view-scanning unit. The view-scanning unit changes an ongoing direction of a light according to an applied electric field so as to project a part of each of the display images at different view directions. Here, each of the view directions corresponds to the ongoing direction of the light.

    Abstract: A pixel structure disposed on a substrate is provided. The pixel structure includes a first and a second capacitor electrode, a dielectric layer, a passivation layer, a pixel electrode, and an active device. The first capacitor electrode is disposed on the substrate and has a first notch. The dielectric layer covers the first capacitor electrode, and the second capacitor electrode is disposed on the dielectric layer above the first capacitor electrode. The passivation layer is disposed on the dielectric layer to cover the second capacitor electrode, and the passivation layer has a contact opening above the first notch for exposing a part of the second capacitor electrode. The pixel electrode is disposed on the passivation layer and is electrically connected to the second capacitor electrode through the contact opening. The active device is electrically connected to the pixel electrode. Additionally, a method for repairing the pixel structure is also provided.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a source driver, a gate driver, a plurality of pixel units, a plurality of detecting circuits, and a decision unit. Each pixel unit includes a switch transistor and a liquid crystal capacitor. When turned on by a scan signal generated by the gate driver, the switch transistor conducts a data signal voltage generated by the source driver to the liquid crystal capacitor, to adjust alignment of liquid crystal molecules. Each detecting circuit is electrically connected to one pixel unit, and includes a first transistor, a second transistor, a third transistor and a sensor unit. The first transistor conducts a constant voltage to the sensor unit when turned on, and generates a dynamic voltage when turned off. Based on the dynamic voltage, the second transistor generates a dynamic current. The third transistor conducts the dynamic current to the decision unit when turned on.

    Abstract: A displaying method for field sequential color displays using two color fields to produce a full color image is disclosed. The displaying method includes: providing a target full color image, displaying a first color field and displaying a second color field. The target full color image is formed by a first color image optical stimulus, a second color image optical stimulus and a third color image optical stimulus. The first color field displays the first color image optical stimulus and a first part of the third color image optical stimulus, while the second color field displays the second color image optical stimulus and a second part of the third color image optical stimulus, which compensates the shortage of the third color image optical stimulus in the first color field. The target full color image is generated by displaying the first and second color fields in sequence, so as to decrease the displaying frequency of field sequential color displays.

    Abstract: A color sequential method for displaying images is suitable for applying in a display with pixels. Each of frames is formed by displaying a first sub-frame, a second sub-frame and a third sub-frame within a displaying time by the pixels. By calculating differences in gray levels between neighboring pixels, variations are gained. Then, a first just noticeable difference is provided, and the pixels having the variations larger than the first just noticeable difference are detected. Next, times of displaying the first, the second and the third sub-frames in the pixels are raised within the displaying time.

    Abstract: A method of generating frame control signals for reducing reaction time comprises following steps: analyzing an input frame signal; generating a first reference liquid crystal control signal of a frame; setting a second liquid crystal control signal range and thereby generating a second reference liquid crystal control signal; generating a second backlight control signal according to the first reference liquid crystal control signal and the second reference liquid crystal control signal; and generating a second liquid crystal control signal of each pixel according to the second backlight control signal.     Abstract: The present invention provides a display method for an LCD device with reduced color break-up, comprising the following steps: generating a control signal for each sub-frame, and displaying the sub-frames successively. The present invention generates, according to brightness of a screen to be displayed, second backlight control signals and second LC control signals for each display region in the each sub-frame and then, according to the second backlight control signals and the second LC control signals, displays a chromatic sub-frame and a plurality of monochromatic sub-frames successively so that the screen to be displayed can be viewed through human vision. The present invention can not only facilitate reducing color break-up (CBU) of the LCD device, but also can contributes to the LCD device advantaged by high contrast, high color saturation, low power consumption and low manufacturing costs.
