Production of surfactin at present is mainly by liquid fermentation, but the production costs are high due to difficulty in purification resulted from addition of the defoaming agent during the production process. Therefore, present invention conducts physical or chemical mutation on Bacillus subtilis subsp. isolated from Thailand seawater shrimp ponds and screens for the mutant strain of Bacillus subtilis subsp. based on sfp gene expression and then produces surfactin from the mutant strain by semi-solid state fermentation.

The power control circuit is used for outputting a core voltage to the processing unit. The first switch and the first impedance circuit are connected in parallel between the processing unit and the power control circuit, and they feedback a feedback voltage to the power control circuit. The current source is used for providing or extracting an operating current via the first impedance circuit or the first switch. The first switch is turned on and the processing unit receives a first core voltage when the processing unit operates at a normal mode. The first switch is turned off and the processing unit receives a second core voltage when the processing unit operates at an overvoltage mode.

    Abstract: A method for preparation of a feed additive containing surfactin, which uses a high-yield mutant strain, Bacillus subtilis T, and soybeans as the substrate in semi-solid state fermentation and after drying and grinding of the fermented soybeans into soybean powder to give a feed additive containing surfactin. Each kilogram of the fermented soybean powder contains about 6-7 g of surfactin. Feeding grouper with the feed additive containing surfactin can promote growth rate, increase expression of immune genes (e.g. AMP, Mx and IFN-induced protein), and lower mortality rate of virus-infected fish, indicating the feed containing surfactin has the effects of growth promotion, immunity enhancement and provides resistance to pathogen infection.

    Abstract: A nail-driving device has a housing, a trigger unit, a safety unit, a connecting unit and a magazine. The safety unit has first and second safety members in the housing. The connecting unit is connected pivotally to the second safety member, and has a retaining portion disposed movably between the first and second safety members. The magazine has a pusher for pushing nails therein. When the retaining portion is in a retaining position, a force is applicable to the first safety member to move the second safety member to pivot a trigger arm for a nail-driving operation when the trigger unit is actuated. When the nails thereof are exhausted, the pusher moves to a retention releasing position to pivot the connecting unit and remove the retaining portion from the retaining position to allow for relative movement of the first and second safety members to prevent the nail-driving operation.
