  • Publication number: 20140335571
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods that involve degrading materials that include lignin. In one aspect, the method generally includes contacting a lignin sample with a lignin depolymerase and contacting the lignin sample with an auxiliary compound. In another aspect, the method generally includes contacting an auxiliary compound with a sample that includes uncleaved lignin macromolecules and at least partially cleaved lignin components in intermolecular association with other lignin components and/or at least a portion of the uncleaved lignin macromolecules. In both aspects, the auxiliary compound dissociates at least partially cleaved lignin components from one another and/or the uncleaved lignin macromolecules.

  • Patent number: 7954899
Abstract: A seat back assembly including a frame molded from material having low density such as expanded polypropylene. The seat back assembly further includes an adjustable head rest assembly including a guide bracket encapsulated in a frame. Encapsulating the guide bracket within the frame provides the headrest assembly with a rigid support, while simultaneously reducing the mass of the seat back assembly with respect to seat back assemblies having a metal seat frame. The headrest assembly includes a headrest body and a pair of legs extending outwardly from the headrests. The guide bracket is fully encapsulated within the frame during the molding process, and is configured so as to slidingly receive each of the legs and secure the headrest assembly to the seat back assembly.

  • Patent number: 7325879
Abstract: A seat belt guide includes first and second walls each having opposite top and bottom ends. A pair of generally parallel end walls extends from the first wall. The end walls are spaced apart for retaining the seat belt in a transverse direction. A pair of generally parallel side walls extends from the second wall. The side walls are spaced apart for retaining the seat belt in the transverse direction. First and second lips protrude outwardly for maintaining the seat belt spaced apart from the second wall to minimize friction associated with sliding of the seat belt through the guide. A pair of retaining walls extends toward each other from the pair of side walls, the retaining walls being spaced apart from the second wall for retaining the seat belt therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20060150101
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of a continuous repeat segment playback of an electronic file that can be utilized on a portable electronic device. The method of a continuous repeat segment playback includes: recalling a setup interface; inputting a repeat segment starting time; inputting a repeat segment ending time; beginning a playback of an electronic file at the inputted starting time and stopping the playback of the electronic file at the inputted ending time; and recalling the setup interface and identifying whether the repeat segment of the electronic file shall be continuously played. If it fails to hold, then the playback of the MP3 file is discontinued; such identifying procedure ensures that while the portable electronic device is executing the repeat segment playback of an electronic file, the file can still be continuously played in case the user exits such mode.

  • Patent number: 6938487
Abstract: An inertia device is constructed by both suspension structure and micro-electroplating structure. The suspension structure may be manufactured by surface micromachining technique of sacrificial layer process or bulk micromachining technique incorporating with thin film process. One side of the suspension structure is arranged firmly to a supporting piece, so that another side of the suspension structure is in a suspension state. The suspension side of the suspension structure is made as micro-electroplating structure through the micro-electroplating process and functions as inertia mass for an inertia sensor. The size of the micro-electroplating structure may be changed through the micro-electroplating process, such that the inertia sensor may be adapted for sensing in different levels.
