  • Publication number: 20230024827
Abstract: There is described herein, a method of capturing and analyzing cell-free methylated DNA in a sample. The method involves subjecting the sample to library preparation to permit subsequent sequencing of the cell-free methylated DNA. A predetermined amount of control synthetic DNA fragments are added to the sample. The control synthetic DNA fragments each have a known nucleic acid sequence that does not align to a target genome sequence, and at least some of the control synthetic DNA fragments are methylated. The sample is denatured, and cell-free methylated DNA and the control synthetic DNA fragments are captured using a binder selective for methylated polynucleotides. • Publication number: 20220367405
Abstract: Methods and systems for improving fusion bonding are disclosed. Plasma treatment is performed on a substrate prior to the fusion bonding, which leaves residual charge on the substrate to be fusion bonded. The residual charge is usually dissipated through an electrically conductive silicone cushion on a loading pin. In the methods, the amount of residual voltage on a test silicon wafer is measured. If the residual voltage is too high, this indicates the usable lifetime of the silicone cushion has passed, and the electrically conductive silicone cushion is replaced. This ensures the continued dissipation of residual charge during use in production, improving the quality of fusion bonds between substrates.

  • Publication number: 20220346097
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a compressed user equipment (UE) capability message that can indicate to a mobile network the various capabilities of the UE. In particular, the carrier aggregation and dual connectivity capabilities are compressed as disclosed herein. In traditional implementations, each carrier aggregation and dual connectivity combination and implementation that is supported is explicitly indicated in the message. As disclosed herein, rather than listing explicit combinations, the UE capability message can be compressed by instead listing boundary values of several different parameters which can be used by the network to derive the carrier aggregation and dual connectivity combinations. The UE capability message can also list the boundary values for LTE (Long Term Evolution), NR (New Radio, or 5G), and Dual Connectivity separately within the message to reduce ambiguity.

  • Publication number: 20220338018
Abstract: Dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) deployments are described, in which smaller-bandwidth frequency bands (e.g., of fourth generation long term evolution, or 4G LTE) are combined into larger total bandwidth spectrum which overlaps the (larger bandwidth) spectrum of a new radio frequency band. For example, two ten megahertz LTE frequency bands can be combined to provide twenty megahertz total spectrum, which can overlap with twenty megahertz 5G spectrum for use in LTE/5G DSS. The LTE downlink subframes of each LTE frequency band are time and frame structure aligned with each other and with the new radio frequency band's downlink subframes. For uplink communications, the physical resource blocks (PRBs) are scheduled to leverage new radio's extra available PRBs. Such enhanced DSS facilitates setting up a single DSS carrier (instead of multiple traditional DSS carriers), which provides relatively better downlink and uplink throughput, less layer management and other similar benefits.
