  • Publication number: 20220269007
Abstract: An ultra-broadband silicon waveguide micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) photonic switch is provided, which is mainly composed of three parts: input waveguides, a waveguide crossing with a nano-gap, and output waveguides. The waveguide crossing is composed of two identical orthogonal elliptical cylinders. Four ports of the waveguide crossing respectively extend to form single-mode strip waveguides to serve as input/output waveguides. The center of the waveguide crossing is fully etched with a nano-gap. The two symmetrical port waveguides are fully etched with nano-grooves. The lower cladding near the waveguide crossing and the nano-grooves is penetrated and etched. The width of the nano-gap is adjusted through adjusting a voltage applied across both ends of the waveguide crossing, so that a guided-mode directly passes through or is totally reflected. In the disclosure, a propagation path of the photonic switch is switched through adjusting the voltage applied to the waveguide crossing.

  • Patent number: 11400594
Abstract: A method and system for programming a path-following robot to perform an operation along a continuous path while accounting for process equipment characteristics. The method eliminates the use of manual teaching cycles. In one example, a dispensing robot is programmed to apply a consistent bead of material, such as adhesive or sealant, along the continuous path. A computer-generated definition of the path, along with a model of dispensing equipment characteristics, are provided to an optimization routine. The optimization routine iteratively calculates robot tool center point path and velocity, and material flow, until an optimum solution is found. The optimized robot motion and dispensing equipment commands are then provided to an augmented reality (AR) system which allows a user to visualize and adjust the operation while viewing an AR simulation of dispensing system actions and a simulated material bead. Other examples include robotic welding or cutting along a continuous path.

  • Patent number: 11381587
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to data management. A computer system may evaluate network traffic to extract and group data objects based on their content satisfying similarity criteria, and to identify baseline behavior with respect to those data objects. The computer system may generate data-defined network (DDN) data structures that include a content class and one or more behavioral classes. The content class may be indicative of one or more of the data objects that have been grouped based on them satisfying the similarity criteria. The one or more behavioral classes may indicate baseline behavior of those data objects within the content class as determined from evaluation of the network traffic. The computer system may detect, using the DDN data structures, anomalous data behavior within network traffic. In response to detecting anomalous data behavior, the computer system may prevent network traffic corresponding to the anomalous data behavior from being communicated.
