Abstract: An xDSL modem testing method is provided. The xDSL modem testing method includes providing multiple script files, a script table for recording information of the script files, and a report table for recording test data; receiving multiple script files by a user interface module, each of the script files corresponds to each of the xDSL modems; parsing programs of each of the received script files according to the specifications, and the interface types of the testing system, the central offices, and the xDSL modems by a parsing module; determining whether all the received script files are executed, for determining whether the test process is completed by a controller; and terminating the test process, if the test process is completed. An xDSL modem testing system is also provided.

Abstract: An automatic testing system (100) for testing an electronic device (300) includes a testing plan module (130), a testing storage and management module (120), a testing script generating module (140), and an automatic testing module (110). The testing plan module is used for receiving a testing plan. The testing storage and management module is used for saving the testing plan. The testing script generating module is used for generating testing scripts according to the testing plan, and for saving the testing scripts in the testing storage and management module. The automatic testing module is used for reading at least one testing script saved in the testing storage and management module, for automatically testing the electronic device, for receiving test data from the electronic device, and for saving the test data in the testing storage and management module. An automatic testing method for testing the electronic device is also provided.

Abstract: An exemplary testing system (10) for testing an electronic device (300) under test includes a testing device (100) and a control device (200). The electronic device under test includes a transmitting element (320) and a keyboard (340). The testing device generates and sends instructions. The control device is connected to the testing device, and is used for receiving the instructions sent by the testing device, decoding the instructions, and acting according to the decoded instructions. The control device is also for connecting to the transmitting element to retrieve data from the transmitting element, and for connecting to the keyboard to control the keyboard. A control device for utilization in the testing system and a testing method are also provided.
