  • Publication number: 20240186408
Abstract: Transistors with improved saturation drain current and methods for making such transistors are disclosed. The gate is formed in the shape of a longitudinal trench and a plurality of lateral trenches below the longitudinal trench. The resulting dual-recess structure increases the surface area of the gate, which permits additional charge carriers and increases the saturation drain current of the transistor. Such transistors can be useful in high voltage and medium voltage applications such as in display driver integrated circuits.

  • Publication number: 20240177319
Abstract: Many unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) methods have been proposed to bridge the domain gap by utilizing domain invariant information. Most approaches have chosen depth as such information and achieved remarkable successes. Despite their effectiveness, using depth as domain invariant information in UDA tasks may lead to multiple issues, such as excessively high extraction costs and difficulties in achieving a reliable prediction quality. As a result, we introduce Edge Learning based Domain Adaptation (ELDA), a framework which incorporates edge information into its training process to serve as a type of domain invariant information. Our experiments quantitatively and qualitatively demonstrate that the incorporation of edge information is indeed beneficial and effective, and enables ELDA to outperform the contemporary state-of-the-art methods on two commonly adopted benchmarks for semantic segmentation based UDA tasks.

  • Publication number: 20240073563
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a time delay integration (TDI) sensor using a rolling shutter. The TDI sensor includes multiple pixel columns. Each pixel column includes multiple pixels arranged in an along-track direction, wherein two adjacent pixels or two adjacent pixel groups in every pixel column have a separation space therebetween. The separation space is equal to a pixel height multiplied by a time ratio of a line time difference of the rolling shutter and a frame period, or equal to a summation of at least one pixel height and a multiplication of the pixel height by the time ratio of the line time difference and the frame period. The TDI sensor further records defect pixels of a pixel array such that in integrating pixel data to integrators, the pixel data associated with the defect pixels is not integrated into corresponding integrators.

  • Publication number: 20220208540
Abstract: A method and system is for searching a database to identify structures of molecular compounds from mass spectrometry data. Operations of the method and system include receiving a query for a target molecular structure in the database, the query representing a query spectrum; accessing a machine learning model trained with molecule-spectrum pairs; inputting the query spectrum into the machine learning model; generating, from the machine learning model, a score for each of one or more molecular structures, each score representing a probability that a molecular structure corresponds to the query spectrum; selecting, based on each of the scores, a small molecule; and outputting, on a user interface, a representation of the small molecule.

  • Patent number: 6694437
Abstract: Two stages of PPP negotiations are adopted for users to access a virtual private network (VPN). The access concentrator for providing PPP connections is designed to provide the two-stage connection. In the first stage, a user is verified as an authenticated VPN user, and a first network address is assigned. In the second stage, a service requested by the authenticated user is decoded for determining either the service being a VPN service or a non-VPN service. If the service is a non-VPN service, the request is processed by reference to the network address. Otherwise, a second PPP negotiation is executed between the access concentrator and a server in a VPN, and then the server of the VPN assigns the user a VPN address for providing VPN service.
