  • Publication number: 20250126168
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method of performing end-user monitoring. At a health monitor that executes on a first host computer along with a client machine and a load balancer, to monitor health of a set of two or more servers that are candidate servers for processing packets from the client machine, the method exchanges health monitoring messages with each server in the set of servers to assess health of the servers in the set. At the health monitor, the method provides health data expressing health of the servers to the load balancer to use in determining how to distribute packets from the client machine between the servers in the set of servers.

  • Patent number: 12265635
Abstract: A method enhances authentication requirements to documents of a document repository based, at least in part, on a security policy associated with a branch under which the documents are organized. The method implements an approval service that is identified in a branch policy. The approval service determines whether a user is authorized to modify documents included in the branch. The method further selectively requires multiple authentications from multiple authentication systems in order to access one or more particular branches in a document repository. Further, the multiple authentication systems are based on separate and independent sets of authentication credentials.

  • Publication number: 20250073891
Abstract: A trunk-supporting exoskeleton for reducing muscle forces in a wearer's back during forward lumbar flexion comprises a supporting trunk, a first thigh link, a second thigh link, and an actuator, which includes an actuator first element and an actuator second element. When the wearer is in a forward-bent position, the actuator generates a first torque on the actuator first element and a second actuator torque on the actuator second element to generate extension torques between the first and second thigh links and the supporting trunk, thereby resisting bending motion of the supporting trunk in the forward-bent position. When the wearer is not in the forward-bent position, the actuator generates a substantially small first torque and second torque, resulting in small resistance to the movement of the thigh links relative to the supporting trunk during walking.

  • Publication number: 20250075983
Abstract: A thermal energy storage (TES) system using a thermochemical material (TCM) may have a discharging mode (i.e., heat releasing mode) and a charging mode (i.e., heat absorbing mode), both of which can be used in building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications. During both modes, the water vapor/moisture contained in the air interacts with the TCM. During discharging, water vapor is absorbed by the TCM and the heat of reaction is released to the air, resulting in a substantially dehumidified air which may be slightly heated and can be used for heating applications. During charging, the TCM may be heated to drive the reversible dehydration reaction and release the moisture to the air, preparing it for cooling applications.

  • Patent number: 12143392
Abstract: Disclosed in various examples are methods, systems, and machine-readable media for exposing a Representational State Transfer (RESTful) interface to users whereby management commands on a datacenter may be issued remotely from the users' workstations for secure, remote management of the datacenter. An application task automation command (e.g., a POWERSHELL® command) is executed remotely by creating a proxy command (e.g., based on a POWERSHELL® cmdlet code) to cause the application task automation command to be executed when the proxy command is remotely invoked and deploying the proxy command to a remote computer, such as the user's workstation. The remote computer issues a request including a user identifier and any parameters for the application task automation command when the corresponding proxy command has been invoked by the remote computer.

  • Patent number: 12126593
Abstract: Example methods and systems for validation-based service request handling are described. In one example, a computer system may obtain, from a management entity, configuration information specifying a unicast service address associated with a service node capable of providing a network service. In response to detecting a service request from the virtualized computing instance, the computer system may generate a modified service request that (a) is destined for the unicast service address and (b) includes a validation identifier (ID) associated with the virtualized computing instance. The modified service request may be forwarded towards the service node to cause the service node to perform validation based on the validation ID to determine whether to provide the network service. In response to detecting a service response from the service node, the service response, or a modified service response, may be forwarded towards the virtualized computing instance.
