  • Publication number: 20200067654
Abstract: The present application describes a data processing method used for implementing data transmission between multiple carriers and a HARQ entity. A terminal receives mapping relationship information sent from a base station, where the mapping relationship information is used to indicate a mapping relationship between a HARQ entity of the terminal and a frequency resource configured by the base station for the terminal. The terminal determines the frequency resource. The terminal determines a HARQ entity corresponding to the frequency resource according to the mapping relationship information and processes a HARQ data block transmitted on the frequency resource by using the HARQ entity. Therefore, carrier communication channels for real-time transmission between the base station and the terminal are increased, to improve transmission efficiency.

  • Patent number: 10575258
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications. In some aspects, a wireless communications device may employ different power control loops, associated with different power control reference points, for uplink transmissions that use different uplink waveforms. In some aspects, a wireless communications device may generate and transmit a first type of PHR, associated with a DFT-s-OFDM-based type of uplink transmission, and/or a second type PHR associated with a CP-OFDM-based type of uplink transmission. In some aspects, a wireless communications device may selectively send a HARQ re-transmission using a particular uplink waveform based at least in part on information indicating whether the HARQ re-transmission is permitted to use an uplink waveform that is different from another uplink waveform used for a prior corresponding HARQ transmission or HARQ re-transmission. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 10567205
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support frequency and time domain multiplexing for low peak-to-average waveforms with multiple streams. A user equipment (UE) may identify sets of symbols associated with different streams (e.g., multiple single-carrier discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-spread waveforms), where each stream may be associated with a low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In some cases, different waveforms may be mapped to subsets of frequency resources through frequency division multiplexing (FDM). The UE may further reduce the PAPR of the multiplexed waveforms by performing time division multiplexing (TDM) across the single-carrier streams, and sets of symbols that are not used by one waveform may be used by another waveform. Frequency domain phase ramps may be applied to align the multiplexed waveforms.

  • Publication number: 20200044804
Abstract: Both precoded sounding reference signals (SRS) and unprecoded SRS are transmitted from a UE to an eNB. The UE may transmit both in the same subframe using either TDM or FDM. Or the UE may transmit each in different subframes from each other. The eNB uses some combination of the precoded SRS and the unprecoded SRS in scheduling resources for the UE. The eNB may also provide instruction to the UE for PUSCH precoding for data transmission. The eNB may signal the UE to use the same precoding as for the precoded SRS. The eNB may instead signal the UE to use different precoding by including the precoding information or delta information between the precoding used for the precoded SRS and the selected precoding for the PUSCH data.

  • Publication number: 20200019631
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for implementing an active-active transaction protocol according to which multiple sites can each provide active services such as executing update transactions that insert, modify, or delete data records. An active-active transaction protocol utilizes affinity records corresponding to both transactions that have been received as well as the data records those transactions are updating to determine which site should handle execution of an incoming update transaction. An affinity record defines a relationship between a data record and a site that determines whether and where a transaction seeking to update that data record will be routed for processing. Conflict handling mechanisms are also provided by the active-active transaction protocol to ensure data consistency between the multiple sites.

  • Patent number: 10530625
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured with a transmission stream processor used to maintain a lower peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) for uplink transmissions. In some cases, a UE may map modulated symbols of different signals (or waveforms) to interleaved subsets of frequency resources, and this form of frequency division multiplexing (FDM) may increase the PAPR of an uplink transmission. To reduce the PAPR of uplink transmissions, a transmission stream processor at the UE may support techniques for phase ramping modulated symbols in the time domain prior to mapping the symbols to the frequency resources. These techniques may help to ensure that the signals to be included in an uplink transmission are aligned in such a way that the PAPR of the uplink transmission is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20200008191
Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided that may be configured to receive a downlink control message, to determine a beta offset value for transmitting UCI based at least in part on the downlink control message, and to transmit the UCI on an uplink shared channel interleaved with data based on the determined beta offset value. The apparatus may identify the beta offset from a set of values based on the downlink control message. An apparatus may identify resources allocated for PUSCH and may map UCI to the identified resources for PUSCH in a frequency interleaved manner over a bandwidth of the identified resources. The apparatus may map data to the identified resources in a time-first or frequency-first manner, and may transmit a signal comprising UCI and data on the identified resources of the PUSCH in accordance with the mapping.

  • Patent number: 10524233
Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein may assign resource elements of a particular resource block for transmission by two or more different antennas in a fashion such that the symbols are interleaved in frequency and/or in time, which improves frequency diversity of the two or more different antennas, thereby improving uplink performance of the UE. In some aspects, when the two or more resource blocks are contiguous, then each antenna may produce an interleaved frequency division multiple access (IFDMA) waveform, which may maintain peak to average power ratio (PAPR) properties of a single channel FDMA transmission. Thus, some techniques and apparatuses described herein may achieve transmit diversity and/or frequency diversity of a stream of symbols on two or more antennas without significantly increasing the PAPR of the stream of symbols.

  • Publication number: 20190379437
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support a low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) precoded reference signal design for multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) transmissions. A user equipment (UE) may identify multiple sets of symbols associated with different reference signal waveforms, where each reference signal waveform may be associated with a low PAPR. In some cases, different single-carrier reference signal waveforms may be mapped to subsets of frequency resources through frequency division multiplexing (FDM) for a transmission on a single antenna. However, the addition of single-carrier waveforms through FDM for a transmission via an antenna may result in an uplink transmission having a high PAPR (e.g., as compared to single-carrier waveforms). The UE may reduce the PAPR of the uplink transmission by multiplexing the reference signal waveforms in the time domain (e.g., using time division multiplexing (TDM)).

  • Patent number: 10498506
Abstract: Multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) devices and non-MIMO devices may implement a flexible comb-based design for transmission of reference signals, such as demodulation reference signals (DMRSs). User equipment (UEs) of different ranks may use the flexible comb-based design to transmit the reference signals in a common comb pattern within an allocated bandwidth. UEs using as many antenna ports as combs in the common comb pattern may transmit a different reference signal using a different antenna port over each comb, while UEs using fewer antenna ports than combs may concatenate combs, so that the UEs may transmit a reference signal using a single antenna port over multiple combs. Using the flexible comb-based design, a base station may be capable of better manage inter-cell interference and multiplexing of different rank UEs in shared resource blocks (RBs) may be supported.
