  • Publication number: 20240070232
Abstract: Methods and systems for training a model include determining class prototypes of time series samples from a training dataset. A task corresponding to the time series samples is encoded using the class prototypes and a task-level configuration. A likelihood value is determined based on outputs of a time series density model, a task-class distance from a task embedding model, and a task density model. Parameters of the time series density model, the task embedding model, and the task density model are adjusted responsive to the likelihood value.

  • Patent number: 11605476
Abstract: A method for enhancing vacuum tolerance of optical levitation particles includes steps of: (1) turning on a trapping laser to form an optical trap, loading the particles to an effective capture region of the optical trap, and collecting scattered light signals; (2) turning on the preheating laser, and directing a preheating laser beam to the captured particles; (3) adjusting a power of the preheating laser until a particle heating rate is larger than a heat dissipation rate; (4) turning on the vacuum pump, and stopping evacuating when a vacuum degree is greater than a vacuum inflection point of a first reduction of the effective capture region of the optical trap; and (5) turning off the preheating laser when the scattered light signals collected by the photodetector no longer changes. The present invention improves a stable capture probability of the particles in high vacuum environment.

  • Publication number: 20220002497
Abstract: A highly permeable sorbent platform based on polysulfone and polystyrene-b-poly(acrylic acid) composite membranes. The membranes possess a fully interconnected network of poly(acrylic acid)-lined pores, which enables the surface chemistry to be tailored through sequential attachment of polyethyleneimine moieties and metal-binding terpyridine ligands. The polyethyleneimine moieties increase the saturation capacity, while the addition of terpyridine enables high-affinity binding to a diversity of transition metal ions. This membrane platform removes such metal contaminants from solution. The metal capture performance of the functionalized membranes persists even in high concentrations of competitive ions. Also, fluorescence quenching of the terpyridine moiety upon metal ion complexation offers an in-situ probe to monitor the extent of sorbent saturation.
