    Abstract: A display device and a method for driving the display device are described, where the display device includes a plurality of pixel island groups, a plurality of lenses, a positioning module, and a gate driving chip. The plurality of pixel island groups are arranged in array, wherein each of the pixel island groups includes a plurality of pixel islands, and different pixel islands are able to be scanned in different scanning modes. The positioning module is configured to determine a gaze area and a non-gaze area according to gazed coordinates of human eye. The gate driving chip is configured to provide gate driving signals in a first driving manner to sub-pixel units in the gaze area, and provide gate driving signals simultaneously in a second driving manner to sub-pixel units in the non-gaze area during a scanning stage of the sub-pixel units in the non-gaze area.

A resistance value of the first resistor is greater than a resistance value of the second resistor. By arranging the first resistor and the second resistor arranged in parallel and configuring the resistance value of the first resistor to be greater than the resistance value of the second resistor, a total resistance value of the first resistor and the second resistor is less than the resistance value of the second resistor.

    Abstract: Polymer blends, films, and coated substrates that include the polymer blends. The polymer blends include at least 90% by weight low density polyethylene polymer and from 1 to 10% by weight ionomer. The LDPE polymer has a melt index (I2)from 2 g/10 mins to 6 g/10 mins, and a molecular weight distribution from 5 to 11 as determined by a conventional gel permeation chromatography method. The ionomer includes an ethylene acid copolymer, in which from 15% to 70% of acid groups are neutralized by sodium cation based on the total number of acid groups in the acid copolymer. The ethylene acid copolymer is the polymerized reaction product of: at least 50% by wt. ethylene, from 2 wt. % to 40 wt. % of monocarboxylic acid monomer, and from 0 to 20 wt. % of alkyl acrylate, based on the total wt. % of the monomers present in the ethylene acid copolymer.

In an exemplary embodiment, a method for the synthesis of cellulose ?-carboxyesters via olefin cross-metathesis with acrylates is described. Conditions of the reactions were relatively mild and the olefin-substituted polysaccharides and the appropriate acrylate partners appear to follow Grubbs rules as summarized herein. Additionally, a method of hydrogenation of the cross-metathesized product is described. The compounds and methods may be useful for waterborne coating applications, adhesives, lubricants, or any product in need of dispersion in an aqueous media.

The electrolyte melt comprises a molten salt or a mixture of molten salts; a silicon-containing precursor at least partially dissolved in the electrolyte melt to provide soluble silicon-containing ions in the electrolyte melt; and a supporting electrolyte at least partially dissolved in the electrolyte melt to provide O2? ions in the electrolyte melt. The soluble silicon-containing ions at the cathode undergo reduction reactions with the electrons to release O2? ions and deposit silicon on the cathode.
