Patent number: 12266148Abstract: In various examples, sensor data representative of an image of a field of view of a vehicle sensor may be received and the sensor data may be applied to a machine learning model. The machine learning model may compute a segmentation mask representative of portions of the image corresponding to lane markings of the driving surface of the vehicle. Analysis of the segmentation mask may be performed to determine lane marking types, and lane boundaries may be generated by performing curve fitting on the lane markings corresponding to each of the lane marking types. The data representative of the lane boundaries may then be sent to a component of the vehicle for use in navigating the vehicle through the driving surface.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2023Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: NVIDIA CorporationInventors: Yifang Xu, Xin Liu, Chia-Chih Chen, Carolina Parada, Davide Onofrio, Minwoo Park, Mehdi Sajjadi Mohammadabadi, Vijay Chintalapudi, Ozan Tonkal, John Zedlewski, Pekka Janis, Jan Nikolaus Fritsch, Gordon Grigor, Zuoguan Wang, I-Kuei Chen, Miguel Sainz

Publication number: 20250078458Abstract: In various examples, data mining using group classifiers for autonomous and semi-autonomous systems and applications is described. For instance, systems and methods may train and use a classifier that is configured to determine whether data samples (e.g., images) represent objects associated with a group in various training and/or mining iterations. For instance, after each iteration, the classifier may become more accurate such that the classifier is able to better identify first data samples that are associated with the group (e.g., positive images) and/or second data samples that are not associated with the group (e.g., negative images). Additionally, the systems and methods may use another classifier to determine classifications associated with objects represented by at least the first data samples that are associated with the group. The systems and method may then store these first data samples and the classifications in one or more databases.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2023Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventors: Weiheng Chai, Anurag Singh, Yifang Xu

Publication number: 20240249118Abstract: In various examples, machine learning data mining for autonomous or semi-autonomous systems and applications is described herein. Systems and methods are disclosed that use neural networks to perform one or more data mining processes. For instance, a first neural network(s) may process input data (e.g., image data) to remove data samples (e.g., images) that are associated with a first object classification(s) and/or a second neural network(s) may process the input data to retrieve data samples (e.g., images) that are associated with a second classification(s). Next, a third neural network(s) may process filtered input data (e.g., the input data not removed by the first neural network(s) and/or the input data retrieved by the second neural network(s)) to determine uncertainty classifications associated with the data samples and a fourth neural network(s) may process the filtered input data to determine final object classifications associated with the data samples.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2023Publication date: July 25, 2024Inventors: Ryan Marc Christian Benkert, Shanshan Xu, Yifang Xu
