Abstract: A system for identifying a handled item includes a robotic arm having a gripper configured to grip an item, transfer the item and release the item, a conveyor track to receive the item from the robotic arm and to transport the item one or a plurality of sensors to scan one or a plurality of surfaces of the item in order to detect identifiable characteristics on the one or a plurality of surfaces of the item and a processor to receive scan data from the one or a plurality of sensors and to identify the item based on the detected identifiable characteristics.

Abstract: A product selection system includes a robotic arm that is controllable to grip and manipulate product items of different types that are stored in a plurality of storage units that at least partially surround a central space in which the robotic arm is configured to operate. Each storage unit is configured to store a plurality of the product items. A controller is configured to control the robotic arm to remove each product item of an order of a plurality of the product items that are stored in the plurality of the storage units from the storage unit in which that product item is stored to an item conveyor for assembling of all of the plurality of product items of the order.

Abstract: A sack includes a flexible sack body and a mouth that includes two separable lips that form a mouth opening when the lips are separated from one another, and that close the opening when the lips are adjacent to one another. Closing structure is configured to enable a separating force that is applied to the lips to separate the lips from one another to form the mouth opening, and to bring the lips adjacent to one another to close the mouth opening in the absence of the applied separating force.

Abstract: A relatively inexpensive, single use, single edge hair cutting device. The device includes a handle portion, typically made of plastic, and an integral blade holding portion for holding a single edge blade used to cut hair. A detachable blade protector covers the blade prior to initial use of the device. In addition, finger portions extend over the blade leaving an edge exposed for cutting hair, while providing protection against cutting of the skin. The handle portion includes a finger grip, and loop, so that the handle can be held in the hand in a comfortable position while being used to cut hair.
