Abstract: A mobile device server includes a flexible architecture having a plurality of components for allowing various mobile devices and protocols to communicate with each other and to receive data from various information spaces. Interface devlets send and receive messages in respective protocols. Access infolets utilize respective access methods to provide an abstract view of various information spaces. Logic applets implement service and/or application logic by processing information from one or more infolets. A further component referred to as a let engine communicates with the devlets, infolets, and applets, and maintains user and device profile information to provide a flexible framework for the mobile device server that can readily support new devices and protocols.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for identifying if a document linked from a base document has changed over time. A first time and a later second time are identified. A link in a base document is recursively identified, where the link refers to a linked document. A version repository is searched to determine if the repository stores versions of the linked document associated with the first and second times. An indication is provided to the user if it is determined that a version associated with the first time and a version associated with the second time are stored in the repository.

Abstract: A data processing apparatus and method for creating data analysis applications using reusable software operators . An initial operator is provided for converting source information into a virtual database format. Query operators are provided for receiving data in a virtual database format, processing the data in the virtual database, and outputting the results of the processing in another virtual database which has the same schema as the received virtual database. A plurality of query operators may be combined in order to customize the processing of the virtual database data. A terminal operator is provided for converting data in a virtual database into an external format which may then be further processed by an external operator. By combining initial, query, terminal, and external operators, users may create customizable data processing applications. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, operators are provided for analyzing the difference between a first document and a second document.

Abstract: A system and method for selective regression testing of a software system that determines which test units of a test suite must be re-run after a modification to the software system. The entities which are covered by each test unit are identified. When the software system is modified the entities which were changed by the modification are identified. The test units which need to be re-run are determined by analyzing the change information and the coverage information to select those test units that cover changed entities.
