  • Patent number: 11055832
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provide to perform automatic banding correction in captured images. For example, the methods receive from a plurality of sensing elements in a sensor array, first image data captured with a first exposure parameter, and second image data captured with a second exposure parameter. The methods partition first image data and second image data and determine values for each partition. The methods compute banding errors based on the determined values of the partitions for first image data and second image data. The methods also determine a banding error correction to one or more of first image data and second image data based on the banding errors. Further, the methods perform an automatic correction of the banding errors on one or more of first image data and second image based on the banding error correction.

  • Publication number: 20210203825
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for techniques for correcting video rolling shutter jello effect for open loop voice-coil motor cameras are described. A device may capture an image using an open loop voice-coil motor camera including a lens barrel assembly, a base mount, and a brake caliper. The base mount associated with the lens barrel assembly may include the brake caliper. The device may determine a vibration frequency parameter associated with a gyroscope sensor exceeds a threshold. Based on the vibration frequency parameter exceeding the threshold, the device may measure an image sharpness parameter associated with the image. In some aspects, the device may configure engagement of the brake caliper with the lens barrel assembly based on the image sharpness parameter.

  • Publication number: 20200211166
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for high dynamic range (HDR) processing. In one aspect, the device may generate multiple frames, each frame being generated through a line-based exposure at a camera image sensor. The multiple frames can have at least two different exposure times and have staggered line-based exposure times during the at least two different exposure times. Additionally, the device can obtain movement information associated with the camera image sensor from a gyroscope sensor. The device can also modify the multiple frames based on the obtained movement information from the gyroscope sensor. Moreover, the device can combine the multiple frames into a staggered HDR image. The device can also generate a de-warp mesh for each frame based on the obtained movement information from the gyroscope sensor, and each frame can be modified based on its corresponding generated de-warp mesh.

  • Publication number: 20200099862
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for performing multiple frame electronic image stabilization (EIS). An example device may include a memory and a processor configured to receive a current frame for performing multiple frame EIS, determine a location of a cropping in the current frame for an EIS image, and crop current image information from the current frame using the cropping. The cropped current image information is included in the EIS image. The processor further may be configured to determine a portion of the cropping for the EIS image not in the current frame, retrieve from the memory prior image information for the portion of the cropping from one or more prior frames in response to determining the portion of the cropping not in the current frame, and generate, for the current frame, the EIS image including the current image information and the prior image information.
