Abstract: Provided is a process of extracting structured chain-store data from chain-store websites, the process including: identifying, via a processor, a store-locator webpage from a store website; querying the store-locator webpage for store locations in a geographic area; detecting a repeating pattern in a document object model (DOM) of a responsive webpage returned by the store website, the repeating pattern containing location information for stores in the geographic area; extracting, from the repeating pattern, location information for the stores in the geographic area; and storing the location information in a business listing repository.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for scoring authors of social network content. One method includes obtaining a directed interaction graph having nodes representing users and directed edges including interaction edges representing interactions with one or more posts, assigning a weight to each interaction edge in the interaction graph, calculating a user score for each of the users from the graph, and providing the user scores to a ranking system that scores posts generated by users relative to other posts generated by other users based, at least in part, on the user scores of the users and the other users.

Abstract: A method is provided for identifying an event of network activity associated with a network where the network includes a plurality of interfaces and the method includes providing a first data structure comprising a node, partitioning the plurality of interfaces into a plurality of groups, associating the plurality of groups with the node, providing a vector corresponding to a group of the plurality of groups for representing a summary of the network activity, and identifying an event of network activity according to the vector. Experimental results are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the invention.
