  • Publication number: 20210361423
Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve system includes a prosthetic heart valve having an inflow side, and an outflow side. The heart valve further includes a base at the inflow side, a plurality of commissure posts and valve leaflets secured to the commissure posts to permit flow through the heart valve. An anti-loop member has a first portion on the inflow side of the heart valve and a second portion on the outflow side of the heart valve. The second portion of the anti-loop member is arranged along each commissure post at the tip of each commissure post, and arranged along at least one commissure post twice to form a loop around all of the commissure posts. The anti-loop member is made of a material sufficiently flexible to be removed from the commissure posts without damaging the heart valve yet rigid enough to retain its shape when coming in contact with sutures.

  • Patent number: 9432702
Abstract: A method for video program recognition includes recording video sequences of each of a plurality of channels and obtaining a set of features of an image captured by a user device. The method also includes performing a camera registration operation on the video sequences to select video frames representing the recorded video sequences based on key video frames from a registered cameras associated with the recorded video sequences. Further, the method includes extracting features of at least some of the selected plurality of video frames of each channel, storing the extracted features, and comparing the obtained set of features with the stored features of each channel to determine whether there is a match between the obtained set of features of the image and features of a video frame from a specific channel and, when there is a match, determining the specific channel as a recognized channel number.

  • Patent number: 9176987
Abstract: An automatic face annotation method is provided. The method includes dividing an input video into different sets of frames, extracting temporal and spatial information by employing camera take and shot boundary detection algorithms on the different sets of frames, and collecting weakly labeled data by crawling weakly labeled face images from social networks. The method also includes applying face detection together with an iterative refinement clustering algorithm to remove noise of the collected weakly labeled data, generating a labeled database containing refined labeled images, finding and labeling exact frames containing one or more face images in the input video matching any of the refined labeled images based on the labeled database, labeling remaining unlabeled face tracks in the input video by a semi-supervised learning algorithm to annotate the face images in the input video, and outputting the input video containing the annotated face images.

  • Patent number: 8052659
Abstract: A catheter device has an elongate body and a chamber positioned within the elongate body. The chamber has a chamber opening, and a barrier, such as a gate, moves over the chamber opening. The barrier moves between an uncovered position uncovering the chamber opening and a covered position covering the chamber opening. The catheter has at least one cutting edge by the chamber opening. In particular, the at least one cutting edge may be on the barrier, where the at least one cutting edge is guided over the chamber opening with movement of the barrier between the uncovered position and the covered position. The cutting edge cuts away a fibrin sheath blocking the chamber opening. The catheter may have multiple chambers connected by channels that allow the chambers to be flushed to prevent microbial colonization.

  • Publication number: 20070198050
Abstract: An improved implant device is deployed a vessel, or passageway, in a body with an attachment mechanism that permits stable and secure positioning of an implant device while also permitting easy removal without damaging the vessel. In particular, clip-like structures are used to engage the wall of the passageway. A tether that works in cooperation with the attachment mechanism may be used to facilitate removal of the implant device after an indicated period. The tether is removable from the implant device to convert the implant device into another configuration, which can remain permanently or be removed at a later time. Moreover, a centering mechanism may be employed to ensure that the implant device is properly oriented within the passageway when deployed.
