  • Publication number: 20070067057
Abstract: A lithographic apparatus includes a movable part and a controller to control a position quantity of the movable part. The controller includes a first controller transfer function and a second controller transfer function. A selector selects the first controller transfer function or the second controller transfer function depending on a state of the movable part. The first controller transfer function may be chosen in a substantially stationary state of the movable part, while in a substantially non-stationary state of the movable part, the second controller transfer function may be chosen.

  • Publication number: 20060139590
Abstract: A lithographic apparatus includes an illumination system for conditioning a radiation beam. A support structure supports a patterning device, which is capable of imparting the radiation beam with a pattern in its cross-section to form a patterned radiation beam. A substrate table holds a substrate. A projection system projects the patterned radiation beam onto a target portion of the substrate. A motion control system includes a controller having a transfer function. The controller controls a position of the support structure and or the substrate table along a series of positions. The transfer function consists of a sum of a plurality of positional transfer functions, each determined in one of the positions, and each multiplied by a weighing function.

  • Publication number: 20050128460
Abstract: In a lithographic projection apparatus and a device manufacturing method, a movable part is controlled to produce a motion, an absolute value of at least one of a fourth and a higher derivative to time of the position of the motion being limited to less than a maximal value. Specifying at least one of a fourth and a higher derivative to time of the position may help to improve settling behavior to obtain more accurate positioning.

  • Publication number: 20020149285
Abstract: A brushless DC motor comprises a pole through which an end of a magnetically conductive tube that is fixed to a tube on a casing extends. A bobbin includes a central hole through which the magnetically conductive tube extends. The bobbin has a winding wound therearound, the winding having terminals electrically connected to contacts of a drive device. A central shaft of a rotor is rotatably mounted in the magnetically conductive tube. A round top of the rotor has a magnetic disc securely attached thereto. A metal disc is mounted between the magnet disc and the round top of the rotor. The magnet disc and the pole edges of the pole and the pole edges of the magnetically conductive tube are repulsive to each other, and the drive device varies polarities of the pole edges to thereby drive the rotor.
