Patents by Inventor Yinan Zhang

Yinan Zhang has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20150254263
Abstract: A data processing method of establishing an input recommendation is provided. The method establishes an inverted index having a variable prefix length based on entry number distribution, thus preventing the established inverted index from generating a number of index entries that are rarely used, and reducing the redundancy of the input recommendation index that is created.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 5, 2015
    Publication date: September 10, 2015
    Inventors: Fan Dong, Yinan Zhang
  • Publication number: 20150018388
Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification of compounds and pharmaceutical compositions thereof for treating subjects with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neurodegenerative diseases. The invention also provides methods of preparing the provided compounds.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 11, 2013
    Publication date: January 15, 2015
Inventors: Richard B. Silverman, Yinan Zhang
  • Patent number: 8415640
Abstract: In a general aspect, a system includes a plurality of diamond nanowires disposed on the surface of a diamond substrate, at least some of the nanowires including a color center. The system also includes a light source configured to illuminate at least one of the plurality of nanowires with excitation light at a wavelength corresponding to an excitation wavelength of the color center included in the illuminated nanowire; and an optical receiver configured to receive a fluorescence emitted from the color center included in the illuminated nanowire in response to the excitation light.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 19, 2011
Date of Patent: April 9, 2013
Assignee: President and Fellows of Harvard College
Inventors: Thomas M. Babinec, Birgit J. M. Hausmann, Mughees Khan, Yinan Zhang, Philip R. Hemmer, Marko Loncar
  • Patent number: 8285091
Abstract: A system for efficient generation of THz radiation is provided that includes a triply-resonant nonlinear photonic resonator coupled to at least one near-infrared (NIR) or optical waveguide and to at least one THz waveguide. The energy traveling through the at least one near-infrared (NIR) or optical waveguide is converted to THz radiation inside the triply-resonant photonic resonator via a nonlinear difference frequency generation (DFG) process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 12, 2010
Date of Patent: October 9, 2012
Assignees: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, President & Fellows of Harvard College
Inventors: Jorge Bravo-Abad, Ian B. Burgess, John D. Joannopoulos, Steven G. Johnson, Marko Loncar, Murray W. McCutcheon, Alejandro W. Rodriguez, Marin Soljacic, Yinan Zhang
