    Abstract: The crank arm of a bicycle is detachably secured to a receiving portion of the crank axle by disposing the receiving portion within a tapered hole formed in an inner side of the crank arm and threadedly engaging a bolt within a threaded hole in the receiving portion by applying a wrench through an axial hole of a bolt cover which is threadedly engaged within a threaded portion formed in an outer side of the crank arm.
