  • Patent number: 9552282
Abstract: Module interrogation techniques are described in which modules configured to rely upon one or more operating system features are interrogated to determine which features are used and by which modules. A module is loaded that is configured to interact with a plurality of features provided by an operating system. Using one or more redirection techniques, calls made by the module to access features of the operating system are redirected to alternate functionality. Based on the redirection, data is generated to indicate the features of the operating system that are used by the module. The techniques may be performed for each of a plurality of modules to populate a database that relates features of the operating system to the plurality of modules.

  • Patent number: 8806435
Abstract: A method and system to remotely log debug information is described. A computer executing program code generates debug information upon the occurrence of an error in execution. The debug information is then sent to a remote computer using a network adaptor. In one embodiment, the computer executing the program is Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) compliant.

Date of Patent: August 12, 2014
    Assignee: Intel Corporation
Inventors: Ying'an Deng, Rui Jian, Caidong Song, Yuanhao Sun, Zhi Wang
  • Patent number: 8637065
Abstract: Methods for inducing differentiation of dermis-derived cells to serve as a source of chondrocytes and associated methods of use in forming tissue engineered constructs. One example of a method is a method for inducing differentiation of cells into chondrocytes comprising providing aggrecan sensitive isolated dermis cells and seeding the cells onto an aggrecan coated surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 6, 2008
Date of Patent: January 28, 2014
    Assignee: William Marsh Rice University
Inventors: Kyriacos A. Athanasiou, Ying Deng, Jerry Hu

  • Patent number: 7934007
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for server side flow control. Receive a request from a first client device to multicast a file as a plurality of packets of data from a server device to multiple client device; transmit the plurality of packets of data from a server to the multiple client devices using a multicast trivial file transfer protocol (TFTP); and apply, by the server, one or more flow control techniques not defined by the multicast TFTP.
