    Abstract: Highly uniform and thin silver nanowires are described having average diameters below 20 nm and a small standard deviation of the diameters. The silver nanowires have a high aspect ratio. The silver nanowires can be characterized by a small number of nanowires having a diameter greater than 18 nm as well as with a blue shifted narrow absorption spectrum in a dilute solution. Methods are described to allow for the synthesis of the narrow uniform silver nanowires. Transparent conductive films formed from the thin, uniform silver nanowires can have very low levels of haze and low values of ?L*, the diffusive luminosity, such that the transparent conductive films can provide little alteration of the appearance of a black background.

    Abstract: The invention provides for novel glaucoma surgical devices comprising a microfluidic meshwork. The meshwork comprises interconnected, cellular-dimensioned microfluidic channels. Excess fluid in the eye can be drained and diffused through the microfluidic channels. The meshwork is porous and highly flexible, affording mechanical compliance similar to that of eye tissue. The meshwork minimizes foreign body reactions to the implant, decreasing fibrosis and capsule formation.

    Abstract: A method and system for transferring user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system are disclosed. According to the method, a source core (CN) network determines to transfer a UE that it serves and sends a transfer instruction carrying UE transfer restriction information to the UE; an access network receives a transfer request that is sent by the UE according to the restriction information carried in the transfer instruction; the access network selects a target CN entity that is different from the source CN entity for the UE; and the UE is transferred to the target CN entity. The method and system provided by the disclosure are applicable to user transferring between CN entities in any communication network. The transferring is initiated by a network side entity, and a more preferable CN entity is selected for the UE to provide a better service.

    Abstract: A technique for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD) transmissions using low-density parity-check (LDPC) coding with self-decodable retransmissions is disclosed. A plurality of redundancy versions of the encoded data is then transmitted, wherein all redundancy versions of encoded data include core data, and each of the transmitted redundancy versions of the encoded data includes at least a different subset of the core data. The core data may be reordered prior to obtaining at least one of the different subsets of core data. Each of the transmitted redundancy versions of the encoded data includes sufficient core data to permit self-decodability of the transmission at a receiver.
