  • Publication number: 20070172686
Abstract: A polarized plate includes a polarized layer, a first optical film located on a upper side of the polarized layer and a second optical film located on a lower side of the polarized layer. At least one of the first and second optical films is made from Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA). The optical films are formed by dispensing a mixed solution on a substrate, then bonding to the polarized layer and processed through a heat treatment. The optical films may also be formed by dispensing the mixed solution on the surface of the polarized layer and processed through a heat treatment.

  • Publication number: 20070059540
Abstract: The present invention provides a cost-efficient, easy-processed producing method, instead of utilizing complicated steps of stretching and precisely controlling stretching ratio and direction in conventional technology, to obtain a PI optical compensation negative C plate of biphenyl ring structure without fluorine by means of coating, and an optical compensation film of PI film-comprising negative birefringent C plate useful as viewing angle compensation film for TFT-LCDs.

  • Publication number: 20060177680
Abstract: A polarizer has an inner protection layer, an outer protection layer and a polarizing layer. A material of the inner protection layer comprises a blended cyclic olefin copolymer (COC), of which a blending ratio of cycloalkene monomer to ethylene determines the mechanical properties of the inner protection layer. The polarizing layer is positioned between the inner protection layer and the outer protection layer.
