  • Patent number: 9312786
Abstract: Cells in a phase leg of a multilevel converter are controlled through regulating, using tap-changer control, the modulation index of the converter to above 0.80, providing a group of carrier waves for the phase leg, where these carrier waves are identical but displaced in time from each other with a time delay, providing a voltage reference for the phase leg being separate from voltage references provided for other phase legs, stop switching of the cells when waveform values of a power transmission converter waveform are detected to be in a selected interval around a peak value of the power transmission converter waveform and control switching of the cells based on comparisons of the respective carrier waves with the voltage reference when the waveform values of the power transmission converter waveform are detected to be outside the selected interval.

  • Patent number: 9264363
Abstract: A method for controlling network traffic based on a token ring includes: acquiring, by a node that obtains a token, network congestion situation information carried in the token, where the network congestion situation information includes the total number of to-be-retransmitted messages requested by nodes in a current token passing period; comparing the total number of to-be-retransmitted messages requested by the nodes in the current token passing period with a congestion threshold; determining according to a comparison result, the number of messages that can be transmitted; and transmitting messages according to the number. Because the total number of to-be-retransmitted messages requested by nodes in a current token passing period is added into a token to reflect a network congestion situation, a node is capable of reducing the number of messages to be transmitted when a network is severely congested, thereby reducing network load and improving cluster availability.

  • Publication number: 20160027480
Abstract: One or more values associated with a first configuration setting for a first circuit may be stored in a first set of one or more registers when an operation of the first circuit is based at least in part on one or more values associated with a second configuration setting stored in a second set of one or more registers. In response to receiving an indication of a change in an operating frequency or voltage of the first circuit, the one or more values stored in the second set of one or more registers may be changed by loading the one or more values associated with the first configuration setting stored in the first set of one or more registers into the second set of one or more registers in a parallel fashion.

  • Publication number: 20160020764
Abstract: A method for controlling a first and a second reverse-conducting insulated gate bipolar transistor (RC-IGBT), electrically connected in series, is disclosed. A collector of the first RC-IGBT is electrically connected to a positive pole of a direct current voltage source, and an emitter of the second RC-IGBT is electrically connected to a negative pole of the DC voltage source. Further, an emitter of the first RC-IGBT is electrically connected to a collector of the second RC-IGBT to form an alternating current terminal. A gate voltage is applied to respective gates of the first and second RC-IGBTs, wherein the gate voltage is controlled based on a magnitude and a direction of an output current on the AC terminal and on a command signal alternating between a first and a second value.

  • Publication number: 20150152476
Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for production of activatable diazo-derivatives for use in labeling nucleotides. Labeling nucleotides is accomplished by contacting a stable hydrazide derivative of a detectable moiety with an activating polymer reagent which is used to directly label the nucleotide sample. Labeling occurs on the phosphate backbone of the nucleotide which does not perturb hybridization of the labeled nucleotide with its anti-sense strand. Since the method involves direct labeling, all types of nucleotides can be labeled without prior amplification or alteration.
