  • Publication number: 20180117710
Abstract: Disclosed is a laser system and a laser flare machining method. The laser system includes a laser light source, a splitter element, and a scanning lens assembly. The laser light source projects a first light beam. The splitter element is furnished on a first path along which the first light beam travels, and splits the first light beam into a second light beam traveling along a second path and a third light beam traveling along a third path. The scanning lens assembly is furnished on the second path and the third path, and focus the second light beam and the third light beam at a machining position to process a work piece.

  • Patent number: 9554839
Abstract: An injection device includes a housing, a plunger, and a heating unit. The plunger is slidably arranged within the housing thereby performing a plunging movement therein. The heating unit is disposed within the housing for generating a heat energy inside the housing such that a filling material inside the housing can be soften and be transformed into a movable filling material with viscosity by absorbing the heat energy from the heating unit.

  • Publication number: 20100266235
Abstract: A planar lightwave apparatus includes a planar lightwave circuit (PLC) chip, a fiber array block (FAB) assembled to one face of the PLC chip, and a casing with one opening, wherein one end of the FAB extends out of the opening of the casing. The PLC chip includes an input optical waveguide, a plurality of output optical waveguides and a beam splitter for connecting the input optical waveguide and the output optical waveguides. The input optical waveguide and the output optical waveguides are arranged on the same face of the PLC chip. Therefore, the PLC chip needs only one-time coupling process with the FAB. The coupling process can be simplified and the packaging cost is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20020034368
Abstract: A method to reduce the FWHM of a slanted fiber grating. The slanted fiber grid is fabricated within a photosensitive fiber. The photosensitive fiber has a core for transmitting optical signals, an inner cladding around the core and an outer cladding around the inner cladding. The method to reduce the FWHM of the slanted fiber grating includes increasing the refractive index and/or diameter and/or lowering the photosensitivity of the inner cladding. In addition, a null core can be inserted into the center of the photosensitive fiber surrounded by an outer core. By increasing the diameter of the null core, the FWHM of the slant fiber grating can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6212002
Abstract: The invention provides an optical amplifying system having a structure with two amplification levels to amplify received optical signals. The optical amplifying system includes a Michelson interferometer, a preamplifier, and a post amplifier. In the preamplifier and the post-amplifier, respectively have a light pumping source, a wavelength multiplexer, and an optical gain media. The Michelson interferometer includes an optical coupler and an optical grating set composed of a pair of optical gratings. The optical gratings are located different optical passes, and its central wavelength is equal to the intended wavelength. The optical grating can be formed on a piezoelectric substrate or an electrothermal substrate so that the central wavelength can be changed by applying stress or heat. The intended wavelength reflected by the Michelson interferometer can therefore be adjusted. The preamplifier and the post-amplifier are coupled together through the optical coupler of the Michelson interferometer.
