Patent number: 9229988Abstract: Architecture that addresses at least the problem of ranking the relevant attributes for a given entity within the context of a structured knowledge base (SKB). The architecture utilizes the attribute, entity type statistics, and the taxonomy of the attributes to consistently and efficiently rank attributes for each and every type of entity in the SKB. Using the SKB, intermediate features are computed, including the importance or popularity each entity type for every entity, inverse document frequency (IDF) computation for each attribute on a global basis, IDF computation for entity types, and the popularity of attributes for each entity type. The intermediate features are aggregated to obtain a final feature set, which can be used in combination with human judgments to train a machine learned classifier model to produce and predict a relevance score for a given entity and each of its attributes. The attributes are ranked for each entity using this score.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2013Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Srinivas Vadrevu, Ying Tu, Franco Salvetti

Publication number: 20050115732Abstract: A screw cap for covering a head of a screw in a screw hole (20) of a housing (2) of a portable electronic device. The screw hole includes a wide upper portion (202) and a narrow lower portion (204). The screw cap includes a main body (12) and an elastic ring (14). The main body includes a wide head (122) and an adjoining narrow cylindrical body (124). An upper first groove (1242) and a lower second groove (1243) are defined in the cylindrical body. The first groove is deeper than the second groove. When the elastic ring is engaged in the second groove, the screw cap can be interferentially engaged in the screw hole. When the screw cap is pushed so that the elastic ring is engaged in the first groove, the screw cap can be easily removed from the screw hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2004Publication date: June 2, 2005Inventors: Ying Tu, Xiao Tan

Publication number: 20050095081Abstract: A screw cover (100) includes a cap (10) made of stretchable material, and a post (20) covered by the cap. The cap includes an end (12) having a round opening (122). A diameter of the end is slightly less than or the same as a diameter of a screw hole (32). The post includes a top column (22). A diameter of the top column is slightly greater than a diameter of the opening, so that the post is engaged in the opening. The diameter of the end is thus expanded to be slightly greater than the diameter of the screw hole, so that the screw cover can be secured in the screw hole. In disassembly, the top column is pushed so that the post moves down, and the diameter of the end returns to its original size. The screw cover can then be easily dropped out from the screw hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2004Publication date: May 5, 2005Inventors: Ying Tu, Xinghuang Luo

Publication number: 20050050684Abstract: A hinge (300) includes a cam (32), a cam follower (30), a torsional spring (31), and a can (33). The cam includes a round flange (321), with a notch (321b) defined therein. The cam follower connects with the cam, and includes an engaging ring (301) around an open end thereof and a projection (303) on an inner wall thereof. The projection is removably engaged in the notch of the cam. The spring is twisted and attached in the cam follower, with one end fixed on the cam follower and the other end fixed on the cam. The can defines a groove (334) rotatably receiving the engaging ring of the cam follower, and a guiding hole (335) movably receiving the cam. The hinge has a relatively simple and stable unified structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2004Publication date: March 10, 2005Inventors: Xinghuang Luo, Ying Tu, Chia-Hua Chen
