  • Publication number: 20210319743
Abstract: An electronic device and a driving method of a display panel are provided. The electronic device includes a display panel and a driver. The driver is configured to convert a first image signal into a second image signal, output the second image signal to the display panel, and enable the display panel to display an image frame according to the second image signal. Converting the first image signal into the second image signal includes duplicating the first image signal by n times according to a first direction, and simultaneously scanning m adjacent scan lines to simultaneously drive m adjacent pixel units. The first image signal has a first image resolution of A×B, and the second image signal has a second image resolution of m×n×A×B, where m is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2, n is a positive number, and A and B are positive integers.

  • Publication number: 20160374165
Abstract: A backlight module is provided, and includes: a plurality of LED strings, each of which is formed from a plurality of LEDs connected in series and has an LED string current flowing through it, and a dimming controller which controls the duty cycle of a voltage pulse wave supplied to each of the LED strings, wherein the LED string current of each of the LED strings multiplied by the duty cycle of the voltage pulse wave for the same LED string equals a value, and the error between the values of the LED strings is within 6% of any of the values.

  • Publication number: 20160212894
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a circuit board, and a conductive element. The circuit board is adjacent to the display panel and electrically connected to the display panel. The circuit board has at least a conductive pattern configured at a ground zone, and the conductive pattern has a plurality of conductive portions spaced apart each other. The quantities of the conductive portions respectively arranged along a first direction and a second direction are plural, and the first direction is substantially perpendicular to the second direction. The conductive element is disposed on the conductive pattern, and the conductive element is electrically connected to the conductive portions.

  • Patent number: 7724227
Abstract: A flat panel display includes a plurality of pixel circuits, each pixel circuit including a switch and a storage capacitor, in which the storage capacitor receives pixel data from a data line when the switch is turned on. A scan driver controls the switches of the pixel circuits, in which the scan driver turns on a first switch of a first pixel circuit for a first length of time within a frame period, and turns on a second switch of a second pixel circuit for a second length of time within the frame period, the first length of time being different from the second length of time.

  • Publication number: 20070290964
Abstract: An apparatus includes a display panel having pixels, and a timing controller that uses a frame rate control look-up table to generate more gray scale levels than available from a data driver. The timing controller uses the increased number of gray scale levels to compensate distortions in luminance across the display panel due to decreases in signal strengths of scan signals transmitted on scan lines of the display panel.
