    Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of medical technology. More specifically, the present invention relates to a preparation of taxanes for intravenous administration, which consists of two parts: a drug solution and an emulsion. Said drug solution consists of paclitaxel or docetaxel, a pH regulator and a solvent for injection, wherein said solvent for injection is an organic solvent. Said emulsion includes a fat emulsion and is composed of oil for injection, an emulsifier, an antioxidant, an isotonic regulator, a stabilizer, a pH regulator and water for injection. When used, the drug solution at the clinical dosage can be added and evenly mixed in the emulsion to perform intravenous drip directly; or the drug solution at the clinical dosage can also be firstly added into the emulsion with no less than 5 times volume of the drug solution and then a predetermined amount of normal saline or glucose solution for injection is added to perform intravenous drip.

    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques to classify or detect the intent of content written in a language for which a classifier does not exist. These techniques involve building a code-switching corpus via machine translation, generating a universal embedding for words in the code-switching corpus, training a classifier on the universal embeddings to generate an embedding mapping/table; accessing new content written in a language for which a specific classifier may not exist, and mapping entries in the embedding mapping/table to the universal embeddings. Using these techniques, a classifier can be applied to the universal embedding without needing to be trained on a particular language. Exemplary embodiments may be applied to recognize similarities in two content items, make recommendations, find similar documents, perform deduplication, and perform topic tagging for stories in foreign languages.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an economically viable co-process for converting biomass to liquid biohydrocarbon fuels and for upgrading heavy deteriorate petrol-oils to high value transportation fuels. In the process, cellulose, hemi-cellulose and lignin, which are composed of ligno-cellulosic biomass, are converted to the bio-hydrocarbons (alkanes and aromatics) that are currently derived almost exclusively from fossil fuels. The resulted hydrocarbon liquid can be separated against their boiling points for gasoline, diesel and heavy oils. The heavy oils can then cracked into lower molecular weight hydrocarbons. Meanwhile, the co-processed heavy petro-fuels are partially converted into lower molecular weight hydrocarbons that fall in the boiling point range of gasoline and diesel.

    Abstract: While organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display devices are often calibrated upon commissioning to provide similar output colors in response to input signals, they are not calibrated based on varying display content. Significant variation in output color as a function of varying output display content is increasingly unacceptable to users. In an OLED display, an emissive electroluminescent layer selectively emits light in discrete areas in response to an electric current. Higher overall applied electrical currents correspond to higher overall output luminesces, however, as current is increased, attendant voltage generally drops. Variation in attendant voltage causes variation in output color.

    Abstract: Varying electrical currents are selectively applied to each pixel within an OLED display to create desired images. High applied electrical currents to groupings of nearby pixels create high luminance features, while low applied electrical currents to groupings of nearby pixels create low luminance features. A combination of a high luminance and low luminance features may be present on the OLED display. Pulse-width modulation (PWM) is often used to increase the current applied to the OLED display by modulating the applied current, particularly when creating low luminance features. The presently disclosed systems and methods detect a gray portion of an image to be presented, and select PWM independently of peak luminance based on the detected gray portion. The allows the OLED display to display low-luminance features at high quality, even when high-luminance features are also present within a frame.
