The rotary control cylinder causes the spline sleeve to switch the transmission relationship between the spline mandrel and shell. Therefore, the drill string rotation controller controls the conversion between the composite drilling mode and the directional drilling mode.

    Abstract: A split roller cone and polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) composite drill bit, including a PDC bit module, a split roller cone bit module, and a drill bit body module. The split roller cone bit module has split structure, and during the operation, the lower roller cone body and the upper roller cone body revolve with the drill bit, and rotate around the axle neck of the palm respectively, thereby achieving the task of scraping and breaking rocks. The tooth scraping efficiencies of the small-end ring gear and the middle ring gear are improved. The split roller cone bit module, the PDC bit module, and the drill bit body module can be mass-produced. The split roller cone bit module and the PDC bit module can be quickly assembled and disassembled with the drill bit body module and different sizes of PDC bit modules are assembled with the bit body module.

    Abstract: An example embodiment of a system for providing fail-over between switches in a network may include a switch having a server-side port and a fail-over circuit in communication with the server-side port. The switch may also include a status circuit, in communication with the fail-over circuit. The switch may also include a switch-side port. The status circuit may communicate the link status of the switch-side port to the fail-over circuit. In response to receiving a link status of down for the switch-side port, the fail-over circuit may automatically disable the server-side port. A related system may include more than one switch, and the system may automatically fail-over from a first switch to a second switch, in response to the disablement of the server-side port in the first switch.     Abstract: Network switches of an information handling system are automatically configured by a PXE agent associated with each network switch, such as a PXE agent embedded in firmware of each network switch. The PXE agent automatically requests a configuration image during boot of the network switch and re-configures the network switch with the configuration image. For instance, the PXE agent requests configuration service from a PXE server, which directs a TFTP server to download the configuration image to the network switch. In one embodiment, a blade server has plural server blades supported in plural chassis with each chassis having one or more switches. Each switch has a PXE agent so that the switches of the blade server are automatically configured with the same configuration image. Alternatively, selected configuration factors, such as a static IP address, are individually configured by reference to a unique identification, such as a universal unique identifier.
