  • Patent number: 10958114
Abstract: A magnetic core for an electric motor has a ring-shaped yoke, teeth extending outwardly from the yoke, and a tooth tip extending from a distal end of each tooth. The core is formed from curved or coils strip laminations having teeth arranged in tooth groups. Each group has four tooth types arranged sequentially. Each tooth has left and right half tooth tips. The length of the half tooth tips vary according to tooth type. When assembled, first type tooth overlap with third type teeth and second type teeth overlap with fourth type teeth, whereby the opening of the winding slot is narrowed compared to laminations having all identical teeth.

  • Patent number: 9935414
Abstract: A commutator has a conductive layer, a segment layer and an insulating layer separating the conductive layer and the segment layer. The segment layer includes multiple commutator segments. A mounting hole is defined along an axis of the commutator passing through the conductive layer. The three-layer structure of the commutator forms a capacitor having an increased confronting area and reduced inter-plate distance. The capacitor thus has a greater capacitance and hence greater EMI absorbing capability, making it possible to reduce EMI emissions without additional EMI reduction components outside the commutator. A rotor and a motor employing the commutator are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20180083517
Abstract: The present invention provides an electric motor which includes a stator and a rotor rotatable relative to the stator. The stator includes a stator core and a winding. The stator core includes a yoke and a plurality of teeth extending from the yoke. The winding is wound on the teeth. The stator further comprises a shielding member mounted to at least one axial end of the stator core, and at least one of opposite axial ends of the winding is completely covered by the shielding member. The electric motor of the present invention has a reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI) and improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

  • Publication number: 20170194839
Abstract: A motor and an airflow generating device using the motor are provided. A stator of the motor includes a barrel-shaped core with a stator winding wound therearound. A rotor of the motor includes outer and inner barrels, first permanent magnets mounted to the outer barrel, and second permanent magnets mounted to the inner barrel. The barrel-shaped core is located between the first and second permanent magnets. At least one of the outer and inner barrels includes first and second barrel sections that are separately formed, and the first and second barrel sections are stacked and fixed together along an axial direction of the motor. The connecting portion is integrally formed with at least a portion of the outer barrel and at least a portion of the inner barrel. This invention facilitates fabrication of the motor.

  • Publication number: 20160226330
Abstract: An electric motor has a support seat, a stator and a rotor. The rotor is rotatably mounted on the support seat. The stator comprises a magnetic core, a winding frame wrapped over the core, and windings wound around the winding frame. The core includes a ring-shaped yoke and a plurality of teeth extending outwardly from the yoke. The winding frame comprises an insulating part wrapped around the core and a connecting part within the insulating part to fixedly connect to the support seat. The core is fixed to the support seat by the winding frame, which saves material and reduces the weight of the stator and the motor.
